Jesus wandering into the wildrness~

After leaving Mary, Jesus wandered into the hills, where he met many of his friends. As he called them by name, the sheep would mosey over, taking soem grain out of his hand. These sheep reminded him of the shepherds that were invited to witness to a celebration that even the angels longed to see: his birth. What sweet justice the father had planned: for those who are often looked at as outcasts, (shepherds) as lowly people without anything: were exalted on high, as they were given a front row seat to see the savior of the word, come into their midsts!

As he was feeding one of his sheep, he felt two birds land on both of his shoulders.  He recognize them and happily greeted them.  "Ok. I got something for both of you, too." The birds then feasted on the peanuts that just happened to appeared in his pocket. ‘Ah, my father’s up to his tricks, again, I see.’  And with that, a flock of birds were chirping at his feet.  He laughed and thanked the father for his goodness, for the cheer: to brighten up his melancholic spirit….which he did for the next couple of hours, between feeding the birds and the sheep that wandered over to say: hi; and get in on the action.

Saying goodbye to his friends, he walked over to the reservoir.  He meditated on: how hard it can be to live with a human nature.  And he thought back to all their people, throughout history. He thought of them, all, at one time or other, had lost sight of who they were: children who always had a Helper, a Protecter, a Intercessor, a Battler, an All-forgiving God. Yes, they all forgot my father, at some point in their lives: Moses, Abraham, David, Solomon.  But as wicked as their behavior may have been, even when David lusted after that beautiful woman, and had her hubby killed, the father just waited for David to return to Him, for David had a heart wholly devoted to my father, despite his sins.

Oh, he knew what they battled through; having a human nature, he was tempted by that nature:  in all things.  He thought of how many of his fellow students were getting engaged, and after graduating next year: they would marry the mate of their souls; then seek to have swarms of kids.

"Ah, kids," Jesus’s heart smiled widely!  Their wild-eyed innocence, their enchantment at the small mysteries of life, their willingness to simply love: reminded him of Adam & Eve, when  they were first created by the father.

"How I would love to have a helpmate to celebrate life with.  And to have kids to frolick with all day long…while teaching them of my father, sharing with them the wisdom of the ages, and watching them mature into the most wondrous adults."  His heart couldn’t help but smile and smile: as he pondered the possibilities…..

"Oh father… thy will, which is my will: can be so hard. But I know that everything works out in the end.  I know the glory that awaits me, again.  And I know that heaven will abound with all my children, one day: where I can at last frolick with them all day long, if I chose to, right dad?"

"If that is your wish, my son."

The son stayed at the reservoir with the father: all night long. He needed to be strengthen again. And he also needed to know…."Dad, what’s going on up there, now?"
