Some pictures of costume stuff

Okay. I’ve talked a lot about costume stuff recently.  It’s about time I post some pictures of what I’ve been working on!

This is the back view of the original purple, white, and blue hair pieces.  Obviously my hair wouldn’t be popping out like that in a performance.  It’s usually tucked in a neat little bun.

This is the view on the left side.  You can see all the little delicate flowers at the front.

And the right side.  You can even see my pretty steel swans…that I can’t wear anymore…much sadness…  Maybe if I get eyelets I can.

And this is the more recent back view of the same hair pieces!  Yes, it’s undergone a few changes.  The biggest change is that I’ve added two buns instead of one.  Let me tell, you, that was a pain and a half!  One of the buns is a little messy, but oh well…  I couldn’t find any hair pins.

This is the left side.  There’s an additional white rose, but aside from that, it’s pretty much the same.

And the right!  I think the addition of the second rose really brightens it up.  I think I’ll do my hair like this next time too!  Yay for wearing a whole garden on your head!

And here’s the complete image, necklace, make-up, and everything!  Woohoo!  Only thing missing is the earrings!

These are the cowrie falls I’ve made.  They’re a lot different than the typical ones that are just yarn and a bunch of shells.  These have fancy beads and everything.

And finally, my tassel belt in it’s complete and current form!  I’m so proud of that thing!  I can’t wait to see how it looks when paired with the rest of my costume.  I hope I get to wear it at least one more time before the baby’s born!

So that’s what I’ve got for now.  Pictures of my other hair arrangement will eventually be making their way.  I’m working on a new hair set, tassel belt, and cowrie falls, so those will be hitting the list as well.

Now I’m off to do the ever important job of packing my bag for the show tonight.  I’ve got the costume all set out so all it needs is to be piled into my bag.  My music needs to be burned.  Then I’ll be ready to go!  I can’t wait!
