Survived the first day!

Two days in a row!  Been a while since I have been able to do that.  I survived my day yesterday.  It was rough in the morning.  Mason had a dentist appointment at 6:45 so we were all up really early.  He had to have two teeth pulled so when we got him home he was still out of it.  He couldn’t even walk and he was getting so mad.  So he was really whiney and irritated.  Kaelee was past ready for a nap.  So by 10 we all laid down and took a pretty good nap.  From that point on the day went pretty smooth.
Today has been a test.  Kaelee, and 1, already knows how to push my buttons; and her brothers.  I have never seen a one year old test their parents the way she does.  She has a little attitude and it’s cute and frustrating all at the same time.  She follows her brother around constantly and wants to do everything he’s doing and has to have everything he has.  Tends to lead to a few fights, and Mason gets beyond frustrated with her, but overall he is such a good big brother.  He has been from day one.  I was worried we would have jealousy issues when she was born, but we did our best to keep the attention split between both kids and he did really well.  A lot better than I expected.
Kaelee is down for her morning nap.  Hoping it is as long as the one yesterday, but I doubt it.  She has her one year check up today at 1:40.  We’re a couple months late getting it down, but when I was working full time and her doctors office isn’t open on the weekends it’s been hard to get her in.  I’m curious what she weighs and what they have to say about her development.  She seems to be on the right track as far as I can see.  She’s currently in her crib right now hollering "hey"…she seems to think that’s going to get her out of her nap LOL.  She does that every morning when she wakes up.  She used to sit in there and holler for momma or dadda and just wait to see who came first, now she just wants anyone to come save her and it’s always "hey" that gets louder and louder until it gets someones attention.  She has been so emotional lately it’s crazy.  I know she’s teething, but I think not seeing her daddy this week hasn’t helped matters.  He left early Monday morning and won’t be back until late Friday night.  She’s used to seeing him at least for a few minutes a day.  He generally works 1:30 in the afternoon til 10 at night which leaves him getting home well after her 8 bed time.  He used to see her in the mornings just for a few before I would leave for work taking them to daycare.  With two days until he gets home I’m sure it’s all downhill from here.  She’s SUCH a daddy’s girl.
Well I’m going to get some cleaning up done while she’s napping.  Mason pretty much keeps himself entertained which helps me out a lot.  Oh and I’m still looking for new and old friends.  I have a lot more time on my hands these days so I’d love to find other stay at home mom’s or anyone for that matter!

6:45 is way early for a dentist appt!! The poor kids!! I’d have been ready for a nap too! There are times I miss being a stay home mom, but I’m glad for the chance to get out and work too. If I’m ever going to get moved out, I’ve got to work lol. I hope the rest of the week isn’t bad for you. I think the “hey” is cute though!!
