New Beginnings

It has been a while since I have found myself on this site, well I guess you could say I have been a lurker, but now I am hoping to gain some more friends and people I share interests with as far as motherhood, being a stay at home mom, or anyone really! Today I begin my journey as a stay at home mom to my 4 year old son and my 1 year old daughter. This is a struggle for me because I love my kids dearly, but I have NEVER not had a job. From the time I was ten years old I have always had some sort of income. I trust in my fiance enough to allow myself to rely on him, which is hard because I have always been so independent. Yesterday was my last day at my job, and I am so grateful to be able to stay home with my kids. Daycare around here and the pay rate for jobs just makes it impossible. We were putting out more with me working that if I would just stay home with them. In a sense it is a bit of a stress relief because I can now pay more attention to the things that need to be done at home and I am the one taking care of my children everyday. After the first of the year I plan on putting Mason in some sort of preschool/pre-k type program to prepare him for school next year.
My fiance currently works as a mechanic for our local Kenworth dealer. He loves his big trucks and fixing them. Something that has already started being passed down to Mason. Currently he is out of town for the week for some training and quite honestly this is a test for us because we have never spent more than a night or two away from eachother since we have been together. Anyways, this is just a short re-intro to me and my life. I hope to find some readers and “friends” on this site and maybe even reconnect with some I found and lost along the years.
