So…He Called….How Did He React???
Ok, I have a quite a bit to update on, but very little time to do it lol.
First of all my ex called me and left me a message shortly after I sent the email. I was at work, and didn’t get off til midnight but knew he was still awake so I called him. We ended up talking for like an hour and a half. He was surprised, I could tell it bothered him a little, but he did say that he was glad he heard it from me and not someone else. He gave me a lot of crap lol. In the message he left me though he told me that he was surprised and that he hopes I"m happy and that yeah it is a good thing and what not. Like I said we talked for like an hour and a half and he seems to be ok with it.
Anyways, still cramping a little, but I’m not too extremely worried about it. Feeling pretty good, just tired…really really tired. J will be home tonight! I can’t wait til I get off work, though it will be midnight he’s getting attacked when I get home lol. I haven’t seen him since yesterday morning lol.
Anyways, I have some questions about Medicaid. I would like to apply and it would help me out so much because there is no way I can afford this. I did get a raise at work, but still. I know J will help out as much as possible, but we’re both in a quite a bit of debt and really don’t need anymore I mean we’ll do what we gotta do, but it’ll be tough. My first question is would it be best if I wasn’t living with him (rent free at that lol) or should I go out and get an apartment so that it shows I"m paying rent. I could afford a little apartment, but I dunno I’d rather stay with him to save money…I know it differs from state to state, but I just dunno what to do. Maybe that sounds stupid, but I’m so new to this lol.
Anyways, my break is about over, so it’s off to work I go, little over an hour left and I can go home and see my man!
Leave me notes, and I’ll try and write tomorrow.

I don’t know how it is there but I just went to the appointment for my medicaid yesterday. The lady I had (I don’t know if they’re all like this) does all that she can to get it for people. I live with my boyfriend but they didn’t ask for his income. With his it probably would have set us over so she didn’t use it. I don’t know if they’re all so helpful but that’s really about all I know..

I dunno about your situation, but I am on Medicaid, and since I live with my mother, they do not count her income. They said I am the head of my own household (me and baby). I mentioned that I may be getting a house with my boyfriend and they said if I did, then they’d also have to consider his income. I dunno how that applies to you, and I’m from Indiana, so it may be different alltogether…

I agree with everyone else. since you guys arent married and you’re both contributing to the bills, they more than likely wont count his income. Good luck, i hope you get it. I did my pregnancy without insurance and im sure you dont even wanna know how much i spent out of pocket.

With Medicaid i think once you prove your pregnant, income doesn’t really come into play too bad, cause they give Medicaid to pregnant women all the time, it just automatically qualifies you, they will still ask for income info, but if you have proof of pregnancy from a docotor then you should be able to get it. Living togetehr will affect weither you can get food stamps and stuff like that.

don’t forget to find out about WIC though, you should be elligibe for that too, and i’m not sure what the income stuff is, but get what they will let you get while you can get it, cause they like to snatch that stuff away at the soonest possible convience. (They take medicaid away like 2 months after the baby is born.) (The baby will keep it though, they don’t normally take it away from kids.)

im glad he talked to you… to get pregnancy medicaid its pretty easy… my husband and i make way too much for other assistance but im still able to get pregnancy medicaid so i really wouldnt worry about where your living!!!! just make sure you have proof of your pregnancy when you go for your appointment they will want that.. not too many people get turned down for pregnancy medicaid..

My boyfriend & I live together. When he applied for his Medicaid, all I had to do was sign a paper saying that we do indeed live together but I do not support him. From there they verified his income w/ his employer to approve him. But like everyone else has said, your pregnant so you should get it anyway regardless. Good luck!
