Long-Much Needed-Update!
I guess it’s time I update. I believe the last real entry I left was when we were heading to Boise because my step-father-in-law was in the hospital. So I guess I’ll just pick up there, on how he’s doing, then go onto Christmas, update on my little bro, my mom and stepdad, and then New Years. Here goes…
Trip To Boise, etc.
Well our trip to Boise was quite an interesting trip. We left our house about 6. Went to Pocatello and left our car there and loaded up in my brother-in-laws car. We left there about 7. I slept most of the way and were in Boise by about 11:30. Went to my MIL’s house. Matt’s mom was a mess. I mean they honestly didn’t know if Matt’s stepdad would make it through the night. Thursday night was rough for him as well. We just went to bed and got up early Saturday morning to get to the hospital before he went into surgery. We just sat around the entire day. He finally went into surgery about 1:30. I fell asleep at that time and when I woke up the dr had just left. Things went great through the surgery. The dr was so surprised how good things looked, all his organs looked good. He admitted that he honestly didn’t expect him to be alive and doing this well. Kinda crazy. We spent the rest of the day just hanging out in the waiting room. I swear, you’d think they’d put more comfortable chairs and couches in the ICU waiting rooms. My back…OUCH. Anyways, Sunday we slept in a little and then got ready and went ot the hospital. Things were still going good. We pretty much just sat in the waiting room most of the day again. Dean finally asked to see us and as glad as I am that we got to, at the same time I almost wish we hadn’t. It was just really hard. I eman I’m so used to seeing him all lively and joking around. He was miserable, and you could tell. I mean I’ve never actually seen someone in hospital that was that sick. He tried so hard to be himself, but he was so tired and groggy. It was just hard seeing someone that has always been so healthy and active so sick and lifeless almost. He was so tired that we didn’t stay in the room long and then when we went back he was still sleeping so we just left. Told them we’d see them for New Years. It was a long trip home, even though I slept most of the way. I did get to see Krystal for a little bit, that was nice. I wish we could have hung out more, but the little time that we did was nice.
Christmas Eve and Such
Christmas was alright. I had to work until about noon on Christmas Eve. Then I was there til 1 or so wrapping presents. I kept my baby bro with me so my mom could get her stuff done. Plus she had a load and no room for the carseat lmao. Anyways, So I took him home with me and got my stuff done. He slept most of the time so that was nice. Right before we went to leave Matt attacked me lmao..dunno what that was all about..but it was nice. Anyways, then we went up to my moms where they were all in a rush. My hell Jay was in a rotten mood. It’s so weird, this happened a week ago and I remember it all too well. We got all ready and the first incident I just blew off. This is just how bad of mood Jay (my stepdad) was in…here’s the convo
Him: “Did you get that wrapped?”
Me: “No it’s still in the car I’ll do it when we get back.”
Nothing to it right….well when he left to go pick up his kids he called my mom and went off on how Mitch’s (his brothers) shirt wasn’t wrapped. My mom calmly told him that it was that I wrapped it and the things he got her at work. He blew up saying how I had told him that I didn’t get it wrapped and all this crap. Well, here’s the story. He had gone shopping and sent my mom’s gifts and the one for his brother home with me so I could wrap them. I got them wrapped and everything and then on Christmas Eve he sent one more for my mom home with Matt for me to wrap. Well, when he asked me if “I got that wrapped” I thought he meant the one he had sent home that day. It was a big misunderstanding, but yet I’m still the blonde. Yeah I don’t get it either. Okay, so we head out to his sisters house for their annual Family Christmas Eve party. We get there at 6:30…come to find out we should have been there at 5:30..another misunderstanding. Well, we get there and Jay is just being a complete ass. He’s screaming at his son, and just being an ass. When I got to take some presents out of my step-brother’s hands I realize they were the ones out of my car that didn’t need to come in. So I say something and then my mom tells Jay that they didn’t need to come in and he lost it. He THREW them across the garage agains the wall. I was pretty upset. First of all, NO ONE told him that they needed to come in. Second, who’s to say that there wasn’t something breakable in one of the boxes. He went off and I couldn’t take it. I told my mom that we were leaving. I went to my car and my mom begged me to stay. I sat in my car for probably 5-10 minutes with Matt and vented and then we finally went back in. I didn’t talk to Jay the entire night. Later on he goes on like nothing ever happened. Here’s the explination for this one:
My mom told him that all the presents were loaded and ready to go that had to go for the party. Then when we went to leave my step-brother asked if he could go with is and I said that we had a load and didn’t have room. So Jay assumed that the presents were loaded IN MY CAR. That’s why he thought they had to go in…if he would have looked at the name tags he would have seen that none of the names were from his family. But yet, again, we’re the retards. Blah..anyways the rest of the night went alright. Then we went back to my moms and got busy making blankets. Krystal came over and helped us and if it weren’t for her we’d have never got it done as early as we did.
Christmas morning was alright. Better than the night before that’s for sure. We got up around 6 and did the whole opening presents thing. It was fun. It
was cute because Teagun actually opened the presents…really he was just pulling the paper to get it to his mouth, but he even acted like he was havig fun and liking the gifts. He got lots of toys. My sisters got lots of stuff too, everyone was happy. My mom was surprised because we made her a John Deere blanket and she had no clue, even though she helped us make some of them lol. My sister liked her Scooby Doo one too. Anyways, everyone got a long and everything went great.
Then we rushed to my grandma’s and did it all over again there. Got some nice things. Didn’t stay for too long because we still had to go to Ririe and do it all over again with the in-laws. Got some nice things from there as well. We just hung out there and took a nap and then came home and relaxed. We were going to go back over to my grandma’s, but it had already been a busy day…so we didn’t.
I’ll list and post pictures of all the fun stuff I got for Christmas, along with what hubby got. Maybe tomorrow or Monday, seems how I”m taking the day off from work.
My baby bro.
My baby brother is almost 5 months old. Will be on the 10th. He’s growing like a weed. He smiles, goos and gahs like crazy. He’ll cackle and laugh at ya. He’s definitely figuring out how to use his voice…especially to get what he wants. Not quite sitting up yet, but I’m betting it’s pretty soon. He’s a doll, I have pictures of him too, that I might post with the Christmas ones…we’ll see.
Along with this I should update on my mom and jay, but I just dunno if I’m ready to go into detail on that. LOL..they’re crazy, that’s all I have to say :o)
New Years
New years has been great. We were suppose to go to Boise, to do our Christmas thing, but it finally decided to snow and be more like winter, so we decided we better not. Plus, I’ve had a really bad cold and we didn’t think it’d be a good idea to be around my step-father-in-law if I”m sick. He’s doing great by the way. He’ll be out of the hospital soon and they’ll move him to a rehabilitation place for about 2 weeks then he can go home. We’re planning on doing our Christmas thing this summer as weird as it sounds. LOL Anyways, so I got off work around noon and came home. We just hung out most of the night playing the playstation and what not. I draink a little…2.5 Smirnoff Twisted Rasberry. I just didn’t feel like partying much. Matt on the other hand drank like 6 beers. LOL it was great. We went to bed around 11 because we were too tired to stay up any longer. Woke up this morning after sleeping in a bit and I’ve just been lazy most of the day because I haven’t felt too great. Matt has got up, made cookies, helped his brother move, hung out with his fam for a bit and now he’s playing the playstation while I’m on here. I did get our main bathroom cleaned, now if we have any visitors, I’d feel better about letting them use the bathroom lmao.
Well I’m gonna go watch my hubby play the playstation.
