Messy Weekend

Blah..this weekend was a blur…kind of a mess really. We got started on priming and stuff Friday. Did that and got up pretty early Saturday and went to town. First went to Hearthside to get the carpet ordered and the couch and what not. Ended up getting the $628 couch for like $448 or something like that…gotta a family discount on the carpet too (my aunt works there) and so total for the carpet and the couch it came to like $1,054 and I put $200 down. So we financed the rest. We got some more opinions from the designer and then went to get the paint. Got a tan color called Walnut Wash for the walls…and wanted an accent color for furniture(computer desk, etc) and it’s called Roasted Pepper. Came home and got a bunch more priming done. Ended up priming all the walls and stuff. Matt got called into work so he grabbed some more primer. When he got back we finished all the priming and got to work on painting the walls. I LOVE them. I’ve never been a huge fan of tan..but I love it! Anyways, we got that done and started on the accent stuff. I was a little worried! Still am…I’m just not sure if it’s going to work with the carpet and stuff. It’s hard to tell right now. We did decide not to do ALL the furniture in the red. It’s going to be tan with like doors red for an accent. When I say red it’s not like fire engine red..it’s more burgundy. I really like the color, just dont know if it’s going to work. Guess we’ll see. They will be here on the 2nd of June to install the carpet. We had the furniture painted..mostly just the computer desk and Sunday we realized that it wasn’t working. It was peeling off sooo bad. So Matt went and got his sander and we spent most of the day Sunday peeling off all the paint/primer..off ALL the furniture. He got it all sanded while I took a 2 hour nap and then we went to my moms. We had hamburgers, visited and watched a couple movies. The first movie was alright…Chasing Liberty or something like that. Then we watched one..that..I can’t remember what it’s called, but it migh as well qualify as a porn. It was horrible…but we watched it. It told a decent story, but it could have been told a lot better and without so much porn! It was horrible. Didn’t leave there until almost 1…got home and the movie must have left me in the mood because I attacked Matt. Needless to say we didn’t get to bed until after 2…blah. I’m soo tired today.
Had to go to work..which sucked..but for sure Friday is my last day. I technically start the new job tomorrow. Kinda excited about that. More or less the money lol. I’m soo tired today..I just can’t get away with 4 hours of sleep..doesn’t work!
Anyways, I forgot to mention that while we were in town Saturday we went to Kmart and I spend a bunch more money. Mostly for outside stuff. I needed a whiskey barrel to plant some flowers in..got a few more flowers, some soil…a humming bird feeder and feed…ummm what else…just a bunch of stuff. Got most of the flowers planted Saturday. Just waiting for LonePine to get in the big spikes for the whiskey barrel.
I talk about all this stuff..maybe one day I’ll figure out how to post pictures. I have pictures of our living room before..and during the remodel…and I’ll definitely take pictures after. Maybe if you’re all lucky I’ll post them..dunno though…. :o)
