Great Anniversary Weekend!

We’re back! Obviously! We’ve been back for a while now, but I am just now writing. We had an awesome time. Saturday we finally left around 2 and went and dropped my sister off to my dad. Then went into town and got gas, we were going to wash the car, but the car wash was closed. So we just got some drinks and snacks and were on our way. Took us a little over an hour to get there. It was a pretty nice drive, we just talked and you could tell we were both excited to get away form here…even if it wasn’t too far. We got to Jackson and checked into our room, which turned out nice..not what I was expecting, but it was clean, and to me that’s all that matters. We got settled and then went out to wander around. Hit a few places and just looked around. Then we tried to find somewhere to eat and found this place…I can’t remember the name of it..but it was nasty! I thought it’d be a typical hamburger…milkshake joint..but blah. I ordered chickent pot pie and blah..I had to gag the few bites down that I ate. It wasn’t too terrible..I guess..it was just really salty. Matt liked his..but *puke*! Anyways, after that we went back to the room. Decided to go to the grocery store. Did that and got some stuff. I blurted out that we should get whipped cream and Matt was all for it. I was joking, but we ended up taking some back to the room. We were in one of the little shops earlier that day and there was some books on sex tricks and what not…one for women and one for men. I told Matt we needed them and he thought I was crazy..lmao..maybe I am..he bugged me about it all weekend. LOL…anyways, so we got back to the room and started drinking a little bit. I took a bath and got all relaxed and Matt made me all frisky so we went at it. Not that you needed that but just have to throw it in. After that we watched some tv and went to sleep.
We got up pretty early Sunday and just kinda bummed. Finally I got up and showered and was getting ready. While Matt was in the shower someone started knocking on the door and trying to get in. At first I wasn’t going to answer it, because I figured it was housekeeping wanting to clean our room. I finally answered it because I thought they were going to break down the door. It was housekeeping..I believe..I couldn’t understand a word the girl was saying because I don’t understand Spanish. She tried talking to me for like 10 minutes and I just kept telling her I don’t understand…finally she figured out that I had no clue what she was saying and left.
We left and went and did some more wandering around. Went to the Ripley’s Believe It Or Not Museum. That was pretty cool. Had some pretty weird stuff in there. Did a bunch more wandering around and finally decided to do some shopping. We had saw a little candy store and went in there and the candy was like 3 something for a half a pound. I figured we had about a pound when come to find out we spent $14 just on candy! Still have almost all of it left lol. I bought a little shot glass. Ummm what else…we each got t shirts, some huckleberry candles….ummmm I can’t remember lol. We got my sister some polished rocks from the Ripley’s museum. We got some old time pictures taken and the one we got turned out pretty good. We’re holding a sign that says still hitched…I figured it kinda fit the whole idea of the weekend….but it was a serious one so we are not smiling. Oh well. We went back to the room and ended up driving to Bubba’s to have lunch. Which was awesome! Then we were going to do some more shopping, but I got to not feeling good and so we went back tot he room and took a rest. Went out and did some more shopping and what not. Then went back to the room. We basically just wasted the days away doing whatever we wanted. We didn’t have much for dinner because we were still stuffed. We started drinking..I drank a quite a bit, but for some reason couldn’t get drunk! Matt got pretty smashed. We ended up ordering pizza after we wasted some energy *wink wink*. OMG! Matt was on one! This might be TMI for some of you…but anyways…we’re all going at it and he’s just being a nerd…blurting out all sorts of stuff and finally he’s like “This one might be twins!” I started laughing so damn hard! It was hilarious. We spent the rest of the night watching The Blue Collar Comedy Tour and then went to sleep.
