New Years Day Blizzard

It’s been a few days since my last entry. I think it was Monday when I posted my last entry. I’ve just kinda been hangin out. First I’d just like to wish everyone a Happy New Year, sorry it’s a little late.
This week has pretty much sucked at work. I’d so like to quit, but I’d feel guilty for leaving my boss hanging. I actually get a long with him, but it’s the other guy I work with that just makes me cringe, thinking about it! Blah.
Anyways, I actually got to leave work early on Wednesday. The plan was to leave early anyways because we were closing at 4. I got back from my north run and my boss asked me if I wanted to go home…it was only 3 but still..I was like right on. Our other store needed some parts so I dropped them off. I had an appointment to get my oil changed at 4:15, but I figured if I went early then I’d probably have a better chance in actually getting in. Wrong! I went and was just visiting with my mom and what not and they never got my car in. I kind of understand because the boss had told them they had to have their areas clean or they would be there until it was done. Guess he felt like being the ‘boss’ because it was his last day…(he sold the company). Anyways, while I was waiting my mom sent me to the bank, which I needed to go anyways to deposit my check…which might I had was less than half then a regular check because I missed all of last week. It was just a little over $200 and normally my checks are almost $500…It just means more is coming out of my savings account..which sucks…can’t wait to get that built back up.
Anyways, I also went and picked up some movies and a PS2 game. I got them because I didn’t know what Matt’s plan was, so at least we’d have something to do for New Years Eve. I didn’t really want to go out because of any drunk drivers and the roads were pretty nasty. We did end up running up to get my sister and then she came back and spent the night here. We just ended up playing the PS2 and we hooked hers up in the bedroom to the other tv and she was in there most of the night.
New Years Day was a lazy day. We were going to go snowmachining with Brandy but the weather was nasty and both our men were being grouchy. My mom came and picked up my sister and then it was just the two of us. We hung out all day doing nothing. I spent most of they day playing the PS2. I had rented 007-Agent Under Fire. I have really enjoyed it. I think it’s just because all we have are driving type games and they get old after a while. I just wanted something different and so I just grabbed it. I’m weird I guess lol. It really started storming in the afternoon. My mom was begging us to come up and visit, but I didn’t want to and the weather was really nasty. We ended up just staying here and watching our movies. We watched Hollywood Homicide first. It’s been out for a while and I’ve been wanting to see it, but never got the chance. Matt thought it looked stupid so would never rent it or let me rent it. It was actually a pretty decent movie. After it was over we looked outside and it was a blizzard! Total whiteout. Couldn’t see a thing. Then we started our other movie. It was S.W.A.T. It took a while to finish that because the power kept flasshing. At one point it went out for about a half an hour. I kept trying to update lastnight but with the weather I couldn’t get on the internet. Then it started lightening! Yes lightening in a blizzard. I guess they call it thunder snow or something like that. It was awesome! Anyways, we finally got our movie finished and it is a really good movie. I definitely recommend it! After that we just went to bed listening to the wind howl. There were a ton of roads closed, come to find out even the road we live on was….I was hoping it would stay closed so I didn’t have to go to work lol.
Anyways, got up this morning and it was still windy, but the snow had stopped. Matt went out and shoveled our cars out. I got ready to go…hoping they hadn’t plowed yet…but they had. I made it to work just fine, the roads were really slick though. There was still a bunch of roads closed and people snowed in…there was hardly anyone on the roads. I didn’t do much delivering today…any that I did do I did in my own car because of the nasty roads. Overall work sucked as usual.
Tonight has been kinda boring…a little on the relaxing side. We’ve just been here watching tv. We’re down to one channel though lol. The wind must have blown our antenna and Matt got on the roof to fix it and fixed the channels that weren’t working, but now the ones that were working…aren’t. Oh well…
Well not much plans for tomorrow…maybe grocery shopping…we’ll see…
