CHEAT DAY
Lately I have been contemplating a cheat day in my diet. When I weighed 160 I did 1200 calories Monday-Friday lunch. Then Friday dinner through Sunday dinner I ate whatever I wanted. Not pigged out or anything, just used my ‘small portions’ mentality without breaking my head counting calories.
I have been doing some reaserch on the web regarding this subject, CHEAT DAY vs. NO CHEAT DAY. Alot of people seem to be apposed to it saying you will never lose weight if you take a cheat day.
Some people were all for the cheat day, saying that if you do it atleast once a week, it will help you boost your metabolism.
Some people said if you eat the same number of calories everyday, your stomach would get used to it and you would no longer be losing weight, so it was good to go ahead and have your cheat day to make your metabolism work.
I took two and a half cheat days when I was losing weight last time and I am now down to 145 lbs. Maybe not as quickly as I wanted to lose the weight, but I still lost weight and I didn’t deprive myself from things I wanted to eat. I think that’s why I stuck it out for so long, because I knew I would have my greasy cheesy garlic bread on the weekend.
I don’t want to take the whole weekend again, but I want atleast one day of eating what I crave the most during the week.
I told my husband about this, because I have a goal and want to lose the weight by this summer. I asked him if he thought I should have a cheat day so I wouldn’t go crazy and he said, "What about just a meal?"
EUREKA!
Although I am excited about it, I am still not sure……. What to do?!?!

Now that I am dieting, I have much a more profound respect for food.
Yesterday we had taco night, because my husband LOVES crunchy tacos. Although I only had three loaded tacos, they were the BEST tacos I ever had in my life! And usually, I don’t really care for Taco night!
The same way with breakfast. I go to bed thinking how badly I want that toaster strudel in the morning with my coffee.
As I get ready in the morning, I savor every bite of that toaster strudel, and really romance it. I am surprized I have not told it, "I LOVE YOU."
And before, I really didn’t care for breakfast.
This is true for all foods except fruit. Ugh I still have to shove it down my throat. Except Strawberries.

Today is my mom’s birthday.
Love you mommy! Except I won’t see her until tomorrow because she will probably work tonight.
She said not to buy her a gift because I got her enough for Christmas, but she knows better than that.
Anyway, hope you all have a great weekend!
