Tracking the days of writing. =)

I will be tracking my writing progress. I tend to do this anyway while writing, but this time I want to really keep track of it. OD is always my fallback, so I’m doing it here.

Plus, you guys always get me when I’m in a good writing mood =)

Anyway, the point here is that I’m curious about my writing process. When I’m writing a novel, what is my average word count at the beginning and at the end? Where do my hard points come in, where I don’t get any writing at all done? Do I have a few days where nothing happens? Where are the points where the writing makes me physically sick, exhausted, blocked, excited, etc.?

So I’ll be updating every day until this novel is done.

It’s a rewrite of TTAV (again) because as we all know, I don’t learn; I just replot. That’s pretty much my new catchphrase. I’m still trying to get that book to a place where it’s good enough to start querying out. Maybe this time won’t be it, but hopefully it’ll at least help point me in the right direction.

Day One:

The writing was last night, but I got 1,556 words written. There were a lot of distractions, and I kept wanting to fall asleep. I wrote from about 3-6, I think. Well, 6:30…

Got to the end of chapter one. Not liking the style so far but I’m not going to start over. I’ll just carry it through to the end and see what’s salvageable when I get there.
