NoJoMo #5: Feeling a little crafty

Today I want to do something crafty, but I’m having a hard time justifying spending more money on fabric right now. I started searching ebay for fabric lots, but most of it is fat quarters, which won’t suit my purposes.

First off, I want to make a couple of shades; for the window in our kitchen, and the window on the kitchen door that leads to the garage, then maybe even for our bedroom window to replace the dusty old mini blinds. Maybe for our office and downstairs windows too, out of a thicker fabric to kind of insulate it a little better since those rooms are perpetually freezing during the winter.

Jo-Ann Fabric posted the tutorial to make these shades yesterday and I kind of want to go crazy with them.

Secondly, one of my friends made this cute top, that turned out to be more of a dress, for another friend. (I hope the picture works.) I’d love to make one for Sophia, and maybe one for each of my nieces.

And finally, Sophia wants a Peanut Bigtop Lalaloopsy costume. She doesn’t have the big doll BUT, my dad is getting it for her for Christmas, so I thought I’d make her a costume for Christmas.
