More of the Same

As was so kindly pointed out, I haven’t been around much. There’s really no reason for it, aside from the fact that every day is pretty much the same, and I’ve been so tired by time I get home from work that I really have no desire to even get on the computer much. I read quite a bit from my phone, but I get so annoyed when I try to type entries from there that I just give up and cancel it.

Work is work. I’ve been kept busy. Every day they add new responsibilities to my plate, and I’m very overwhelmed most days. And I’m starting to get a bit disgruntled because I’m doing some things that should really be more the responsibility of somebody that makes more, but they’re taking my skills for granted and not compensating me fairly for them. I recently applied for a new job that would take me back downtown and pay me significantly more, and would mostly consist of the reporting and automating that I’m doing in my current role but would more fairly compensate me for it.

We’ve decided to go on vacation in May. We booked a room on Ft. Myers Beach in Florida for the week before Memorial Day. It’s the same place we stayed when we went to Florida for my high school reunion. We’re going with my mom, sister, and niece again. We’re trying to decide if we’re going to stop at Disney for a day on our way down or not. It’s awful expensive for a single day, but I really want to take the kids while Sophia is still really into princesses.

I signed Sophia up for kindergarten on Wednesday. She goes in May for her kindergarten assessment. It makes me sad, but happy at the same time. I can’t believe she’s getting so big. And Connor is going to be lost without her when she’s in school. I’m starting to want another baby, but still not just yet. We’re trying to pay down debt still, and I want to lose weight before we have another baby, so the pregnancy hopefully will go a little easier.

We’ve been doing little things to improve our financial position, like changing our insurance company and appealing our property value for tax purposes. If we’re going to be stuck in a money pit, we might as well only pay taxes on what it’s worth now.

And the dolls in the previous entry? They’re Lalaloopsy dolls. I bought Sophia three of them for Christmas, and bought another one today. I found Patch (the boy) at Meijer, but the douchebags there “couldn’t sell it to me” because it wasn’t in the system. I was super pissed and told them to just cancel the other stuff we’d scanned and left. John left our phone numbers and told them to call us once it was in the system so we could come back and buy it, but I was so pissed and hope I find it somewhere else.

Anyway, the two in the previous entry are very hard to find, and I’m looking for both of them. Spot Splatter Splash is so hard to find that there are only two of her on ebay even, and they’re $90 and $190, which I will never ever pay. If you happen to see either of them in a store for the $20-$25 price range, let me know!

Anyway, there’s my update. All is well, I’m just worn out all the time. Until later.

I’ve seen those Lala dolls. They sort of scared me and Natalie kept going, “What’s wrong with the hair?” RYN: Yeah, most of the reviews said the book sucked. I’ll just get it from the library I guess.
