Goofy Me *

Well, it lookes like I will be getting my check, thank goodness, but here’s the catch. It will be sent out in the mail next Tuesday, so I now have to be patient while it makes it way from Virginia to Texas; however long that might take. Then this afternoon the lady who signed me up for this program sent me on a wild goose chase. She said they had an offering at the library in the town where I live & asked me if I would be interested in that. So I got dressed up & got there a few minutes earlier then I needed to be & was able to have my interview early 🙂 The nice lady then told me that they actually didn’t need anyone at the moment but she would keep my name/number just in case they decided they would in the near future. I was rather perterbed after that as I felt like it was a waste of time & gas. Put on make-up & a bra when I didn’t really need to lol Then my supervisor (the lady who hired me, that I will call Mary told me that she is not sure exactly if I will be able to go back to the job that I was working at before all this crap happened. That made me even more upset!! They sure seem to be giving me the run around. Anyway since it was after 4 pm I wasn’t able to talk to the lady that I will call Nancy, who is over Mary to ask her what is going on. All I know now is that I have to wait till after the holiday on Monday to find out if I still have a job or not. It sucks!!

On a funny note… I did a really dumb thing today. I have 2 pretty flower pots, one with yellow & one with pink flowers that are growing rather nicely. I haven’t actually put them in the ground yet. So today I took them out of the shade & set them out on the edge of the porch since it was starting to sprinkle. This was great, thank you God, but then…. it started to rain really hard & you know what I did little diary? I ran outside, getting myself wet in the process so I could move my two little flowers out of the rain so they wouldn’t get TOO MUCH water!!  Another similar dumb move on my part was when my kids were teenagers & we were at the beach. They were out playing, having a fun time when it just suddenly started raining.. no lighting or anything, just a light rain. I stood up on the beach in the sand waving my arms & yelling at them, "kids come on get out of the water.. its raining, you might get wet"!!  They looked at me, then each other, and my older son said, "Um Mom, Duh.. we are already wet!!"  To this day they still tease & laugh with me about that. Not sure where my brain is at times!!

Anyways, the evening rain tonight really cooled things off a bit. So Good nite Moon ~
