songs
Apparently, the point is to list your favorite songs by these artists.
AC/DC: Just really not a fan.
Aerosmith: Dream On, or Sweet Emotion. It’s a tossup
The Beach Boys: California Girls, but thats a real hard one.
The Beatles (pick 3): Day in the Life, Penny Lane, Here Comes the Sun
Billy Joel: Piano Man has special meaning for me
Boston: Amanda
CCR: Have You Ever Seen the Rain
The Doors: Riders on the Storm
Bob Dylan: this is TOUGH. Positively 4th St, off the top of my head.
Jimi Hendrix: Little Wing
Led Zeppelin: Over the Hils and Far Away–although I feel they are one of the most overrated bands of the 20th century. Sorry.
Marvin Gaye: Let’s Get it ON!
Queen: Oh jeez. Fat Bottom Girls? I love queen, but thats the one I sing along to most often
Rush: Subdivisions
The Rolling Stones: Gimme Shelter
Simon & Garfunkel: The Only Living Boy in New York
The Supremes: Stop! In The Name of Love…only because i like doing the hand motions for it (haha! me and my mom used to go to the drive-in on saturdays (Biff Burger, jules) and they had oldies night. Every time, we requested this song and performed it. If you knew my mother, youd know how ridiculous this must have been)
The Temptations: Just My Imagination
Van Halen: Okay. Now, there are two different "Van Halen"s. David Lee Roth VH, and Sammy Hagar VH.
Sammy Hagar: Right Now
David Lee Roth: Running With The Devil
The Who: Behind Blue Eyes. No one seems to understand why we played this and Lynyrd Skynyrd (Simple Man) at my cousin’s funeral. He loved this song, and to this day, listening to it makes me think of him. I can close my eyes, and remember walking down the aisle to his casket, to say goodbye. To me, it was the most appopriate soundtrack in my life.
Stevie Wonder: Superstition!
ryn: i had..no clue about that..actually….hmm
Warning Comment
r: that’s one of the most heartbreaking stories i’ve ever heard.

i’m amazed you see the continuity between you and me. overweight women, weighted with self-loathing, often encourage me, admire me for my ‘discipline.’ and the women with eating disorders leave me the exact opposite, nagging, worried advice. i feel like we live in two completely different worlds. i feel it necessary to add, too, that i’m not thin. i’m not. i’m 5’10”, towering, monstrous. it’s important, for context.
