realignment.
we’re finally back in our house after seven weeks of construction! while it’s very exciting, it’s also overwhelming because we still have to completely reorganize and purge our house of things we don’t want/need in there anymore.

BUT! the new closets are ah-mazing and the extra space we’ve gained by extending our mezzanine and closing off one of our valuted hallways makes the upstairs section look SO much bigger. the lighting is awesome and my new office isn’t quite done yet but i’m loving the look of it so far. MOSTLY, i’m glad that jr. is going to have a space of his very own because our house is also filled with boxes of gifts from multiple baby showers and they need to go SOMEWHERE. we have so many adorable baby boy clothes, it’s ridiculous. our friends and family have been amazingly generous and i’m so grateful and humbled by it all. and i still have another baby shower coming up!
in work news, things have settled down a bit, but we are pitching a project today and starting another one this week. i also have a call on wednesday for a project i *think* we won, but i’m not sure. plus we’re pitching another project with one of our partners and will find out about that one soon. so it’s busy, but right at this very moment i don’t owe anyone anything and i will just revel in that moment for a second.

OK! i’d be remiss if i didn’t mention that i had a great time in minnesota – i always enjoy reconnecting with everyone and touching base with my midwest people. i had two baby showers, a wedding, lounge-y days in the pools and lakes, a massage, a pedicure, lots of delicious foodstuffs and some quality time with some very important people in my life. so, basically, it was a success.
this upcoming weekend is a marathon of fun events for liana & tal’s wedding celebration and i’m very excited abut all of the fun things they have planned. liana’s also on vacation this whole week entertaining family and friends that are arriving early, which means i’ll be taking on all of her stuff this week ~ but luckily it’s not too crazy and thankfully i’m no longer homeless. so that’s good.
in general: i’m 30.5 weeks pregnant and i keep thinking i can’t get ANY bigger, but then i do. i’m up 27 luscious pounds now and it looks totally awesome on my 5’0 frame. it doesn’t look weird at all. :/ i’m trying so hard not to obsess about it, but i really can’t imagine gaining another 8-10 lbs. in these last 10 weeks. but i figure 10 weeks will fly by and before i know it i will be shooting jr. out of his home and then life takes on a WHOLE new purpose and meaning and omg i’m not ready yet am i? but i will be.
i do feel mostly good, i am even still "running" a couple times a week and doing a combo of walking/elliptical/strength training/yoga etc all the other days and i still have *yet* to miss a day of working out. so i’m pretty proud of that. our bradley method classes have been amazingly empowering and educational and i’m very glad we decided to take this approach. i honestly believe i have a really good chance of delivering this baby drug and intervention-free and i’m confident that the training and knowledge i’m giving myself will enable the birth that we want. but! i’m also willing to be flexible so we’ll just have to see what jr. has in mind for his world debut.
anyway. that’s what’s what in my corner of the world. and back to the world i go.
As skinny as you are, and with a pregnant belly. Sexy!

I’m so happy you’re not homeless anymore! That must have been frustrating, but so worth it. I know it’s for a really good cause, but I’m horrified to watch the scale inch towards numbers i’ve never seen before (so I never get on the scale haha)! I’m scared of the last few weeks weight-wise and I’m not even halfway through yet. I am certain you’re all baby and look amazing!

I read another blog that did the bradley method with success! The only thing she needed was an episiotomy, which I guess the bradley method teaching say you should try to avoid, but it turned out to be the way things should have gone and she was OK with it. Any chance you will share your birth story here with us creeps? I find them facinating.

ryn: Hi honey bunny…it’s not a diary here, but it’s a blog I check out sometimes. It’s called Healthy Tipping Point. The web address is: http://www.healthytippingpoint.com/category/bradley-method That will take you to the archives of her Bradley Method posts, including her birth story. Pretty interesting stuff! I’m excited to see how everything goes for you, I’m sure it’s going to be great. Can’t wait to see this little peanut! It’s so exciting!
