Monday

Hello.

Moving house totally sucked balls.  Of course, there are severe weather warnings issued for the weekend I pick to move.  We didn’t cop it too badly though, just a little wet here and there.  Got totally soaked filling the truck with stuff to take to the dump, but we weren’t worried about that. 

We are bruised, strained, tired, and just OVER IT. 

Saturday and Sunday were massive days.  Today is Monday and I went by the apartment this morning to let the plumber in to fix the leaky sink.  Picked M up after work and we went back over there.  Filled the car to bursting with stuff, did a lot more cleaning.  

My landlord wants to show the apartment to someone tomorrow evening.  I hope to speak with her about my bond and handing back the keys.  We will be able to finish up tomorrow night and hand over the keys Wednesday if it means getting that bond back in my hands before my landlord goes into hospital on Friday.

We’ll just see.  I don’t like getting my hopes up about anything.

Work was alright.  My boss is hot and cold.  I am feeling very irritated at my assistant for jumping ship, and I suppose that’s how my boss feels towards me.

Our pre-paid internet gadget turned up today.  Frightfully expensive compared to what we had at the apartment, but it’s only got to take me through to September, and once M leaves I won’t be using as much data as he does. 

I am just so tired!  I am just thinking about how much we have gotten done and how it will be worth it to push a little more for another couple of days to get the apartment done and dusted.  

I need to go to bed.  It’s very late for me and I am already so worn out.

OH one more thing.  My mum won a car today.  She enters competitions in magazines where you complete a puzzle or crossword to find a key word, then you write that on the entry form and mail it off.  She won a little car worth $16,500!  Very exciting news.  She already has a nice car though, and she doesn’t get this one for another 4 or 5 weeks, so she has some time to figure out what she will do, although it’s likely she will just sell it.  Lucky lady!
