Back in the Lounge

As is apparent by the fact I have written more entries this week than I have in about 3 months; I am going to be a stay at home for a bit instead of going out on the razz in town, as I have been doing quite a lot for the last month- with highly inappropriate peeps!
I am glad to have this long weekend coming up – it will be good to be away from the even more inappropriate temptations at work…

It’s funny how I am staying in tonight and so is my housemate- seems like I haven’t seen him in ages! We are laughing at pretentious people and their ridiculously priced homes on Grand Designs. I like to watch the show because I am nosy, like interesting buildings and interiors, also for some reason I have a soft spot for the presenter. It gives ideas about what I would like to do if i had the money… I want a lighthouse but I will go on about that another day.

Back to Grand Designs, the people that are on it are exceptionally annoying with their vasts sums of money and lack of awareness that other people can barely afford to rent, let alone comprehend some of the tasks they take on! I don’t know what these people do as jobs in order to be about 30/35 years old and able to afford 600 grand on a house in the country and have a flat for about quarter of a million in the city! I like it when they really appreciate what they have built but sometimes it just doesn’t seem like they do- guess they are doing something right- I must have tripped up somewhere along the line!

I am sure I was going to say something else about it but I am tired and have forgotten.

Yep, that show’s a case of nice houses – shame about the people who’ll live in them 🙂 Yer man mccloud is a good presenter though.

We bought a small house right after bethany was born, thinking to move into a larger one in about five years. We’ve been here almost 30 years now. I guess we did something wrong, too. (I think it may have been having kids; they’re expensive.) All around us, people are buying up the small houses and making them gigantic. It’s interesting to see. Take care.
