Vicodin witdrawl

I didn’t expect this part of the recovery. The part where I feel like a Vicodin addict coming off the drug. According to a website that I forgot the link to, the symptoms of vicodin withdrawl are: restlessness,  muscle pain, bone pain, insomnia, diarrhea, vomiting, cold flashes, goose bumps, involuntary leg movements, watery eyes, runny nose, loss of appetite, irritability, panic, nausea, chills, and sweating.

And I have  everything except the diarrhea, vomiting, and bone pain. Oh, I’m feeling SO WELL today (note the sarcasm). I’ve called in for a half day at work. And that’s mainly because my stomache hurts really bad. I slept like crap last night. TMI ALERT: I haven’t had a bowel movement since the day of my surgery, hence the sore stomache. I’ve had a little bit of a BM this morning, but the way my stomache is feeling, I’m pretty sure I’m in for a painful bit later – hence the morning off. Thankfully, my boss is completely understanding of this and joked with me a bit.

I’m going to go lie back down. Maybe I’ll sleep a bit. I hope I sleep. I’m so freaking tired.

I learned this from a long gone fave…take magnesium and drink water. And then you can yell “fire in the hole!!” soon enough. I hate that “must poop soon” feeling.

Yuck. It just adds insult to injury, doesn’t it?
