awareness descending, a
rapid rainfall
suggests a rhythm
remniscient
of a lighter load to carry
shared: joy doubled
and suffering halved
a fear lodged firmly
between here
and afar

vague, yet unrelenting
it speaks at length
of virtue
gnawing where it’s worn
held
