tears

Guys, I’m sorry I’ve been so rubbish this week at noting. I need to sit down and do a huge catch-up and noting session-perhaps this evening. I’ve missed reading everyone’s diaries.

I’m having the day from hell. William has been ill now on and off for a week. Today is by far the worse day. He’s congested, coughing, barely eating and screaming non-stop like he’s in pain. When he’s crying so ferociously tears run down his cheeks and it makes me cry. Crying mother and baby does not a happy picture make. When he’s not crying he’s sleeping. I’m taking him to the docs at 5pm to get him checked out.

I have lots of other news but I’m too weary to write it now. I feel upset, worried and exhausted all rolled into one. Maybe this is just a simple cold and I’m over-reacting….but how the hell do I know what’s normal with a 3 month old baby?!

Poor baby and mama! Have you tried steaming up the bathroom and sitting in there for 10 or 20 minutes? That might help. Hopefully it’s nothing too serious!

Sometimes if you raise the mattress or bassinet to a slight angle while the baby sleeps, it’ll help them breathe better. When they’re in a crib, I used to roll up a towel and slip it under one end of the mattress and it seemed to help a bit. Steaming up the bathroom is a great relief, too.

a cold in a 3 month old is terrible!! they cant breathe when they eat and they dont know why, etc. I feel for the both of you!!! just remember its not forever, soon it will be a memory, that helps me when my kids are miserable 🙁

*hugs* Sorry you’re having a bad day. It’s horrible when babies are ill isn’t it? You just feel so helpless :o( Hope it went OK at the doctors.

aw, poor baby and mama…its so hard when babies get sick because they can’t tell you what’s wrong. and im not sure what medicine he can have bc he is so little..i hope things get better..have you tried the johnson’s vapor bath? abigail loved it. you should find some. *hugs*
