alternatickers - cool, free web tickers

  • This week sucked, royally, at work. Everything is such a mess right now. I’m so glad our superviser comes back from her maternity leave on Tuesday. Poor thing has to put everything back together, but I know she’ll be able to do it. Our deputy director, who was filling in for the superviser, needs some serious managerial skills. She sucks.
  • I have two days off. Yay. By the end of my work week I’m physically exhausted and definetly need the two days off to recoup. I’m planning on resting today, and then getting house work done tomorrow. The boys need a haircut. I’m getting a booster seat for Gabe (and will be using his Britax seat for the wee one.) and we’ll probably make a stop at the dollar store to stock back up on coloring books.
  • Josh bought a "hadji" phone in Afghanistan and is able to call me. Otherwise, he’s more than an hour from any internet or phone lines. I wasn’t expecting him to spend the money on the phone, the SIM card and then the cost to put international minutes on his phone. It’s $50.00 for 200 minutes. He says that he did it so he can contact me and show me that he’s making the effort that he’s promised. -shrugs- I’m still very doubtful. He’s also, apparently, enrolling in college classes to do in his free time while he’s there. To show me that he doesn’t have free time to "mess around".
  • I sent his first box of stuff on Friday. And have another box I put together to send on Tuesday. He’s pretty far out from anything and says "chow really sucks" so he’s asked for snacky things. He’s also asked me to get together his tools and send them in a foot locker, so I have to get that together this weekend. I’ll probably send that out Tuesday, too. I need to make a run to Home Depot and find drywall screws and nails. No idea what size he needs. I’ll just get an assortment, I suppose. And the boys would love a trip to Home Depot.
  • My right eye has been twitching for four days. Weird.
  • Gabriel has really outgrown his "make me want to pull my hair out" phase. And now my sweet little Xavier has turned into my demon child. Ah, gotta love the back to back phases. Atleast I’ll have a 2 year "break" from the toddlerhood with Mason. lol
