a whole slew of things…

First and foremost, Happy Birthday to Gabriel. We’re not doing a whole lot to celebrate today. I am planning a joint birthday party in mid-January for the boys, however. (At the Discovery Center and Dani better be there with her little munchkins and Katie better be there with Matty!)

Secondly, Molly came home yesterday. My little pirate dog did just fine with her surgery. She keeps bumping into things and can’t quite balance herself real well yet, but that was happening before she had it removed because she couldn’t see out of it anyways. And she won’t really have the chance to correct herself until we’re done using the stupid e-collar. She gets her stitches removed in 9 days.

I’m so glad this year is ending because things have been going shitty recently. Josh and I were on our way home from picking up his car, and I was driving on 90, which is littered with 6 inch trenches, commonly known as pot holes. In the dark they looked like rough patches in the asphalt, but then when you came up to them, they were deep fucking pot holes. I managed to miss most of them, but then hit one and fucked up my drivers side front rim and my tire immediately popped and there I was, on the highway. Yay. Another expense I did not need.

Josh ran around getting qotes yesterday and finding parts. And the awesome man that he is, managed to get it repaired for under $100. Thank goodness. I sure hope tomorrow is the start of things looking up. Seriously.

Dude at work got fired ’cause he was an idiot and had incredibly poor work ethic. Only reason he was hired was because he knows the president of the union we work under. Well, the little bitch decided to go crying to said president about getting fired (he was on day 45 or so of his 90 day probation, and he called in 6 times, was late 4 times, and performed his job duties terribly) and said president managed to get him re-hired. Non of us know how because Dude isn’t part of the union yet. You aren’t part of the union until you pass your 90 day probation period. So he starts today. How awkward is that going to be? Coming into a place where no one wants you to work, knowing the only reason you’re still there is because you know someone. Politics suck ass. And if that were me calling in that many times and showing up late that many times, my ass woulda been kicked out the door and no one would have looked back. Seriously! So what kind of message does that send to the rest of us working there?

Gah. I’m just annoyed all around.

And the most awkward thing happened yesterday. I got called up for a lost dog, and I went to get the people to look thru stray kennel and there was Jeremy. My ex-best friends ex-boyfriend whom she cheated on when he went over to Iraq, and got pregnant, and tried to claim it was HIS baby. Uhm. Weeeird. They broke up and now she’s engaged to a man who is not the baby’s father and she had the kid like, 6 weeks ago. And he got home 2 weeks ago. Very weird, for sure. And his dad was drunker than shit when he was there.

Excuse my foul language this morning.

Off to work I go. 2 more days and I get to relish in 3 days off.
