[NoJoMo] Day 25 – Blah de blah.
My day off went far too quickly. I work Wednesday, Thursday and Friday – then can enjoy Saturday & Sunday off. And then Monday starts the partner switch! So glad I won’t be working with my current witch of a partner.
We’re not celebrating Thanksgiving on Thursday. I think we’re going to have a small thanksgiving-like dinner at Josh’s moms… but everyone wasn’t really able to get together until Saturday. So we’re doing the whole shabang then. Better for me. I have to work, albeit to only clean, medicate & exam, which will take about 6 hours. But still. It would be next to impossible to go into work until noon and then be able to really contribute to the dinner spread.
I joined the grocery game this evening. I’ve heard about it several times, contemplated joining a few, and finally did it tonight. We’ll see how it goes. I’ve committed myself to 12 weeks of it, which is the minimum suggestion to see a good savings trend. There’s far too many testimonials for it not to work. Just gotta stick with it.
I had to go into work today to finish my health insurance packet, and to give three incident reports to my superviser. The Vet that we have at our facility is very old (73 years old) and grumpy and honestly doesn’t seem to even like animals. He did a couple things yesterday that were completely out of line. And when I told my superviser about it (one incident needed to be brought up because it involved a dog who needed medical treatment immediately, and not receiving it) she was appalled. And when she told her superviser about it, she wanted a written report of all three incidents. Which all occured in about a 20 minute time period. Oy.
It was so bad that we had the Department of Agriculture investigating. Not because of me… one of the officers called them. Which I think was out of line. There’s a certain way to go about things, and she didn’t have to go that far, yet. -shrugs-
The boys have given me a hard time with bed time for the last 2 nights. Rawr.
I really should be doing dishes and folding laundry, but I can’t get up the motivation to do so. Hopefully Josh will be nice enough to do one of them tomorrow before work, since his Mom is picking up the kids from daycare and keeping them until I get off work. Tomorrow is my long day; I don’t get off ’til 7pm. =
