A New Addition

Dear Diary:
In a couple of weeks we will be having a friend move in with us. I graduated high school with her and over the last two years she has ended up in a really bad situation. She has not job, her savings are exhausted and she is without a home. She is currently in a trailer at a friend’s property, though the trailer is not well insulated and she can’t even take a shower without freezing.

L and the kids met her on Saturday for the second time and L gave the go ahead for her to move in to our basement. She is going to contribute towards food, help around the house with cooking, cleaning and babysitting and whatever else we need. For now it will be until September 1st of this year. Our basement is big enough where she could stay down there except for cooking and showering and we would not see her as only I use the basement.

I am thankful that L and I are in a position to be able to help her and that we are not the ones looking for this type of help.

The Super Bowl was a wonderful game and I’m glad that Giants won and not the hated Patriots.

School is keeping me busy with tons of reading. I’ll be doing more at lunch and after work but it does make sense.
