Toying with the Idea*

Okay…so it’s been almost 20 days since I’ve updated. It honestly feels like I updated last week, but I guess that is not the case. Man I suck at this updating thing, but don’t you worry, NoJoMo 2012 starts next week and like previous years, I’ll be par-taking in that!

Cooper is sick, he’s had a horrible cough for over a week. I’m a wee bit worried about it since there is nothing we can do, he has a vick’s humidifier in his room, blue he takes warm baths and we suck those boogers out of his nose with the nasal apsirator, we put vicks on both his chest and his feet, and when shawn takes a hot shower, we let Cooper hang out in the washroom. I’m giving it a couple of more days to see how he feels. I’m not one of those mothers who soon as their child is somewhat sick brings them to the clinic, my sister is like that and she drives me nuts, but over a week with one of those cough isn’t right. He hasn’t really had a fever, just that darn cough. I know that there is a nasty cough bug going around, as my entire family (sis + bros famjam) has been sick the last 2 or so weeks, plus some of my clients have the cold.

Maxim has the darn cough too, but the thing with him, I have natural "cough syrup" that is good to use from 2-12. Hes doing good, he has speech therapy every 2 weeks, so today (Monday) is one of them. He is every "talkative" but I honestly cannot understand half the words he says, but time will come. We bought some more "CAT" truck, so he has a dump truck, pailloader…ect and he loves them, he will play with them for hours, which is good, because he makes sound effects and everything, which is something makes me feel good because he can "pretend play".

Shawn, he turns the big 2-9 tmrw and he’s bittersweet about that. He is starting to have the receiding hairline, as well as the back of his hair is starting to thin out, and it’s making him depressed because of that. He’s been working lots because he goes on holidays from Nov 6-13th and he is going deer hunting out in blind river with his father and his brother in laws. He hasn’t went hunting in over 5 years, because since we have been dating he has never went hunting, and he misses it so he was able to do it this year.

I’m doing good, busy with work, and the days that I have off I’m doing housework, because Shawn doesn’t do that (don’t get me started with that), I still enjoy my job, except the other day I lost a resident and they didn’t remove him from my schedule, good thing I check obituaries on a daily basis (I lost 4 in one week a couple of weeks ago), or else I would have looked like an idiot showing up at this persons house and their entire family being there because of the funeral being that day. It’s the little things, or big things for that matter, that really piss me off about work. I am also running the women’s curling league this year, hopefully it won’t be to hectic, doubt it will.

Since Shawn’s on holidays, I decided to take holidays as well. Mostly because the weekend before Shawn goes on holidays, I’m suppose to work, but my mom and dad are going to Toronto, and they are my weekend babysitter, and if shawn’s working that day (won’t know until then), then I’m screwed and I would be calling in "sick" because of no child care, so I took that weekend off. Then on Nov 7, we are off to the Bay to see the imagination mover’s concert, so I was going to take that day off anyways, so I took the week off, then Thurs-Sun we’ll be off to Blind River to visit the Vee family since I haven’t really seen everyone since last Christmas.

Since everyone seems to be pregnant, I’ve been thinking alot about having another one in 2-3years, but honestly as much as I would love to have another baby, the baby making station is closed. Cooper is a very needy baby, and has honestly turned me off into having anymore children. That and I wouldn’t know what to do with myself if I were to have 3 boys, the 2 I have now are already a handful, add another one to the mix and I’ll probably end up in the loonie bin for sure. Oh and my family would kill me if we had another baby.

Okay, have to start getting the kids ready for daycare, hope everyone has a good week!
