B-day Party + Autism Screen

So my little guy turned the big ONE yesterday and he had his 1 year needles + checkup today. We weren’t able to get an 100% accurate weight because he doesn’t stay still, but it’s between 20.5-22lbs, which compared to his brother, who at 13months was 26lbs 7oz, he’s still itty bitty. He is 32.5inches long, which seems wrong because he is so tiny, but oh well. So he got two needles, and at the nurse practioners where we bring the boys, they have the NP as well as another nurse give the two needles at the same time, that way they don’t have to go through two picks, and lets just say my big boy didn’t even cry at all, not even a little peep, I am such a proud mommy.

We had his birthday party on Sunday, and I’m so glad the weather was good because I wouldn’t have had room in my house to fit everyone. (I’ve posted pictures at the bottom).

Maxim’s speech pathologist is referring him to be tested by a panel of specialist who specialize in Autsim. There are a few red flags that Maxim has that autsistic children have. For example, Maxim flaps his hands when he doesn’t get his way or is excited, he also watches the wheels of his trucks. Max has also lost words he used to previously say really good (Cooper for example, used to be coooooo pah, not it’s just Coo). There are also things he does that show no signs of autsims, like point to thinks to interact, play with children, and he doesn’t need to have a steady routine to be a happy child. So we are going to get his hearing checked, as well as the SP (speech pathologist) said there is a possibility that it could be ADHD because it’s hereaditary and Shawn does have that. So we shall see what the future holds for him.
