Decision Made…
So the decision has pretty much been made….we are staying on the farm — at least for awhile. N has come to the realization that he couldn’t handle the heat in Vegas…and I agree. We can stay here and save money so that we will have some money saved to go wherever we like.
So far, saving money hasn’t worked out real well. I mean the stress is mostly off with not figuring out how to come up with over 700 on the 1st for rent but any we have left over ends up being spent when I go to town with N.
We have decided that once the apt is gone, we may figure out one night a month we can stay the night in town so we can go out and have some fun without trying to drive an hour and a half home afterwards….of course I don’t know what we will do with these dogs. I went to town with N yesterday and he had a double….so we were gone for over 12 hours. The two little dogs were in the house all day….they did good in that they didn’t tear anything up and minimal accidents…and the puppy figured out how to go down the stairs to the basement lol.
Oh I forgot to post…..we got a puppy a few days ago. A 9mth old Chihuahua ….. he is soooo cute and sooo sweet. He is also a total cuddler and curls up and sleeps next to me while I am on the computer. He couldn’t figure out the stairs…I had him where he could go up the stairs but he just couldn’t get himself to go down. Apparently while he was home alone yesterday, he figured it out lol.
He was so excited when we got home, he was running around squealing. He doesn’t bark…he whines and he squeals…it’s hilarious. I have heard him bark once and that was when he heard someone come in the door downstairs…such an awesome dog. We are so lucky…we have the best behaved dogs I have ever seen. Ok..so really they are bunch of lazy dogs that like to sleep but I love them all.
So anyway…looks like I am a farm girl and sorta home owner. N told his parents that I wanted to stay…his mom said that took some pressure off them cause they didn’t think I would like it…truthfully I didn’t know if I would or not. I do like it. It is nice and peaceful. I think it will be better when we reconnect with some of N’s old friends from down here and have people that can come over and hang out with us…that of course involves him not having to work 7 or 6 days a week….the poor boy needs a break.
They are so far behind at work he doesn’t know when they will catch up. He is doing demo’s at Wal-Mart and Kroger that are supposed to be done in a certain time frame. Almost every time I go into the system to report one of the demos being done, it gives me a message that it is outside the date range….nothing we can do about that. His boss is responsible for scheduling all this crap…he has totally been saving her butt. She has a bunch of old people who work for her who won’t drive over 5 miles…N is driving over 50 miles each way every day……it so gets on our nerves with the kinds of people the company keeps hiring – I think they need to relook at their recruitment policies.
New glasses are GREAT!
