Coconut kind of Day
Gentle Hearts,
It’s been one blythful year of passion, romance, fairy-tale gala and sexiness! I truly enjoyed Our Wedding! It was truly the Wedding I had envisioned since I was seven years old! God did send me the kind of husband I was looking for. He took his sweet time and in due course He fulfilled all my wishes! Alexander is truly a great husband! He is sweet, tender-hearted, romantic, sensitive, articulate, smart, polite and possesses a heart of gold! I am endebted to God for putting us in each other’s path.
Today was a coconut sort of day. It was a beautiful day indeed and I accomplished much! This morning I awoke and when I checked my E-mail I received an E-mail from Eleine. She thanked me and Hubby for her birthday cards and then she said in her E-mail that i didn’t answer her question about if I had quit my job in America. This annoys me! She keeps dwelling on the negatives and hitting the nail on the same spot in the wall with a blindfold! She is riding off her senseless opinions. How can I hold a job here in England and one in America at the same time? Come on, Eeline…Get with it! It’s not for her to judge my options and decisions! I surely never forced my opinions on her when she married her husband or question her decisions yet she has certainly pounded her opinions on me and questioned our decision to come live in Oxford. It’s not her business what I do with my future. She may be concerned for me, but she should tell me in a more positive sense instead of like in a parental tone of reprimand.
I made myself some Eggs Benedict with Hollandaise sauce for breakfast today and washed the dishes. I had a bit of a fiasco in the kitchen though. I was cleaning the grill and I had placed a tea towel on the stove for a min and I didn’t realize that the burner was on. The towel caught fire! Acting quickly I flung the tea towel in the basin of water in the sink and saved the day! Phew! Luckily no one was in the house! I then gave the wet rag a decent burial in the bin.
I went for a walk this afternoon. I have written Our ‘Anniversary Sonnet’ on a 11 x 14 canvass in calligraphy and water-coloured two hearts decoratively on one of the edges and I went in search of a frame! I found the perfect frame in this Framing place in town! It cost just £3.89 too! My Father-in-Law helped me frame it and it is ready to present to my Hubby this Friday!
I guess your friend is just used to being consulted, and now you have a husband to consult with. You are right though, it really isn’t any of her business.
