It started as another Saturday. Alex and I and his Dad and sister had our breakfast at half past eight O’clock then dashed out the door by quarter to nine O’clock to catch the bus into the City Centre. We went to Marks and Spencers where I bought myself a black skirt for £15.00 and a white blouse that was reduced from £14.00 to £9.00 and I paid £7.00 for. I needed a desent blouse and skirt to wear on my NHS Professional job interview. I found a bargain!

We then went to Argos where I bought myself a puzzle mat to work on my 1000 pc jigsaw puzzles and a ladies’ Puma backpack. For lunch we went to the Coffee Republic. Alex wanted to buy himself an I-Pod so we went to a few places to compare prices and he ended buying it at Argos. My sister-in-law bought herself a copy of the New Harry Potter book, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. The A-Team as we lovingly call each other then went to the Alice’s Shop…the original store where Alice Liddell, the little girl, daughter of a Dean at Christ University where Carrol Lewis worked as a Mathmatician. Lewis Carrol wrote Alice’s Adventure in Wonderland fashioned from the daughter of the Dean of Christ University one day as he and this girl travelled in the Oxford canal one day. Alice Liddell bought her sweets from the little shoppe at Saint Adaltes (originally named the Old Sheep Shop) across the street from the university. It sells quaint antique Alice in Wonderland memoribalia. I bought myself a red leather bookmark, a bar of chocolate fudge and a small box of Alice’s own blend of Tea.

In the Evening Alex’s other sisters and their spouses came by and we had a nice time. Later we all sat at table building the Teddy Bear Jigsaw puzzle.

This Friday I had a dental appointment.  I have a small cavity and I need a thourough cleaning.  I have an appointment a week from Tuesday.  I am a bit anxious as it has been a long time since I had visited a dentist and it’s my first dental proceedure in a new country! I am sure I’ll be fine!
