The Weekend is here again! Glorious Weekend that gives you a chance to rest and catch up on yourself. It has been a busy week! Work is going great and I am enjoying myself inspite of the commuting. It isn’t too bad. The bus to the Radliffe leaves me precicely in front of the hospital and when I work at the Churchill it is just a ten minute busride and the bus leaves you inside the hospital parking lot. Some mornings my sister-in-law, Sue, who is a manager at the Churchill hospital’s Dermotology Department and a nurse for over 35 years picks me up at home and drives me to the Churchill.
The Headington Library sent me a letter saying that I was unsuccessful in getting that part-time Saturday post as Library Assistant. Alex gathers that I am a bit over-qualified for that job since I have been working full time as a Library Assistant in America for twenty years! I just don’t understand why I wasn’t chosen.
Hubby and I went out shopping today. I am sorting a few items to send to my family and best friend in America. It’s my brother’s Birthday on the twentieth of September. We’res sending him fifty Dollars in a Birthday Card. We are sending my parents some small Thank You gifts to thank them for this Kenwood Automatic Coffee Percolator that they sent us through UPS! It cost them $200.00 to have this sent to us and I thought that a Thank You parcel is in order. I have also sent a present to my best friend, Ivonne who served as our maid of Honour. She was such a great help during our Wedding and pre-liminary arrangements leading towards our wedding. She helped me address the Wedding Invitations, helped me make the favours and was an enormous support ally in my times of stress and anxieties. The Eighth of September is Alex’s nephew and neice’s birthday. We got them a card and are giving them money. On the sixteenth of September is my sister-in-law, Sam’s Birthday. We have to still get her a gift.
My period is here again. I’m glad in a way to get it. This stress has been making me irregular. I used to be so regular and heavy! There has been such a great amount of change going on in my life for the past year and a half…the Wedding, the stuff we had to put up with in the months following our Wedding…Alex’s Mum’s Death….the Decision to come and live in Oxford…finding a job here…all has taken a toll on me and Alex emotionally, yet I am happy to say that everything has worked to our advantage and we are both happy and content.
I’m extremely happy here and so much in Love!
I am praying to God every night to Bless Alex and I with the pitter-patter of little feet. This would be the ultimate blessing to make our happiness and life complete and our years to come full.
