Just Breathe

I just screamed so loud that I wouldn’t blame my neighbors if they called the cops (not that they will — this is LA, people). It was completely unwarranted, too. I was just so caught off-guard!! I was sitting here minding my own business and all of a sudden Norbert popped up on my TV. Okay, that was the lamest explanation ever. But if you’re not a fan of the Butz then it’d pretty much be impossible to explain. My friend updated Twitter about the commercial a few weeks ago, complete with dozens of exclamation points, and when I read it I didn’t quite get the excitement. But then the commercial came on and the close-up of Sir Norberino filled my TV and the fangirl in me *spazzed*the*fuck*out. Hardcore.

Which reminds me. The last few times that I’ve gone in to work with the RFB&D I’ve been recording the Writer’s Market 2009 (sounds like the most boring thing ever, but it’s actually pretty fun) and just about every listing has the word "hardcover" but whenever I see it I read it as "hardcore" which means I start giggling like a 12-year-old and have to record the sentence all over again, but first I have to stifle my juvenile sense of humor and stop laughing. So mature.

My ass appears to be parked in front of the TV tonight. I just watched an hour of Cheers and now I’m in the middle of an hour of Frasier and then there’s going to be a block of Family Guy. Yeah, I’m definitely stuck here.

Edit: I was looking for a Norbert video to post (which, let’s be honest, there’s probably only one [mayyybe two] readers that will watch because most on my faves list don’t give a crappola about theater) and I came across this song. One of my friends used to laugh at this video because she said that the beginning, the fumbling, fast-talking awkwardity is just like me when I like someone. Uhmm… thanks? Asshat. But she’s right. haha I love the fact that he’s singing about an Irish girl. It’s perfect for today.
