¡Viva Las Vegas!

In twenty-four hours I will be in Las Vegas. Everyone seems to expect me to go raise hell. Which, I suppose, makes sense considering it will be my first visit there since becoming of age. Regardless, I think I am the least excited person. My psychic eye foresees long days and restless night. My plane lands at 8:30am (assuming there are no delays). From the airport I will head straight to the suite of MrPresident as it will be too early to check into my room. There will be casual-chit followed by a few awkward moments before we decide how to best fill the time between my arrival and the one o’clock meeting we have scheduled with several Big-Wigs from the network.

Once the meeting has concluded I will have a chance to check into my hotel room, answer any emails that may have arrived and unpack my clothes before setting up the registration table for the conference. I’ll spend a few hours mingling with and checking-in the conference registrants, followed by approximately 20 minutes of clean-up before I return to my room. By the time I settle in it will be just after nine o’clock and I will be exhausted. Because I will have to be ready for work the next morning at 6:45 I will pass on the gambling and sightseeing to ensure I get enough sleep. 

I will not have the safety net of traffic to excuse any tardiness as my hotel room is only floors away from the worksite, so I will begin my work promptly at 6:45am as previously mentioned. My workday will come to a close some time around 9 o’clock that evening. Again, I will pass on the opportunity to gamble away my life’s savings in exchange for some quality time with my pillow. Then, I get to repeat the process on Sunday.

Other than that, I’m really looking forward to this trip.
