I am happy to report that I have a job that I can sit at and be bored.  LOL  We are at a slow time of year, gearing up for what will probably be a very busy time of year.  Until the busy time of year kicks in though, we have quite a bit of down time.  I feel like I should be doing SOMETHING, but there really isn’t much of anything to do until people open tickets about their orders.

I’m not sure if I mentioned what the company that I work for does, so I guess I will now.  We rent text books to college students.  That’s it.  My job specifically is in the customer service department answering inquiries regarding book rentals.  So with that said, I’m sure you can understand the down time while everyone is busy using the text books.  The busy times are obviously at the beginning and end of the different school terms, and most of all during the switch between winter and spring semesters.

If you are taking any college courses or enrolled in school, I would definitely recommend the text book renting route.  You save piles of money by not having to buy your books and then sell them again on your own!  There is more than one text book rental company out there, and I don’t exactly want to say which one I work for, but to put it simply the company I work for has the most straight forward name for what we do.  If you are really interested in learning more specifically about the company I’m at, leave me a note and I’ll be happy to provide more info.  LOL

Moving on…

So it seems there is some family drama brewing for the holiday season ahead.  *sigh*  It would be so nice to have a drama-free holiday season for once.  But alas it doesn’t seem like it will be in the works for this year.

Seems as though things with Shawn and Seth are in a volatile state right now.  I don’t know what the hell his deal is right now, but to put it bluntly, he really has his head up his ass.  He’s been completely disrespectful and mean to her.  He’s staying out all night long and coming home whenever he feels like it for just a few minutes at a time and then leaving again.  He’s drinking and smoking pot and doing God only knows what else.  I personally think he’s using meth, but he told Shawn today that he’s not and if he was he would tell her.  Umm… yeah… doubt it.

At this point, I’m just trying to be here to be supportive for Shawn.  She’s really interested in trying to complete The Love Dare, but with their circumstance, it may be almost too extreme to overcome at this point.  I think that there needs to be some sort of intervention done.  Somebody needs to bring him down to reality.  His thing is that he wants to be able to do what he wants, when he wants.  Well guess what, guy… the day that you said "I do" and the day that your two kids were born, you no longer get to have the option of doing what you want, when you want.  You are now responsible for other people and NOT just yourself.

Shawn has given him chance after chance to go ahead and move out and leave.  He keeps insisting that he’s not at that point yet.  My theory is that in the back of his mind he knows that the second that he walks out, that is when he really is going to be held responsible for being an adult and having to man up.  In the meantime, while he is just being a complete douche bag, he is able to get away with minimal responsibilities.

I would love to cuss him out.  Everybody is telling Shawn to get out now.  Take the kids and file for divorce.  In a sense I agree.  It’s hardly a conducive environment for the family.  But should she choose to not give up and keep trying to work things out, then I’m going to support her in that as well.  Needless to say, she isn’t going to be filing any papers (unless something EXTREMELY drastic happens) before the holidays are over.  Once the holidays have come and gone, if she doesn’t see any improvement or any chance of improvement, then she is going to move forward with filing divorce papers.

*SIGH*

I really wish that all of my loved ones were on an upswing like I have been over the past month.  I know that Shawn will be okay no matter what happens.  She is going to do what she has to do for herself and the kids.  I just pray that Seth realizes what he is doing to everyone before it’s too late.  At this point, I can’t help but think that he’s going to be ending up in jail/prison or worse real soon.

Okay… well, now that I’ve wasted a few minutes of my downtime here, I think I’ll go find something else to pass the time.

Laters,
JamieLynn =)

I am always honored to hear that someone is getting some blessing from the things God lays on my heart to talk about, and I am more than happy to share the name of my first book with you. You can find it on most any internet site, but Amazon usually is as low-priced as any…”What’s Your Excuse?” by Michael Saunders. When you read the cover, it sounds at first like it’s strictly an evangelical book. But actually, it’s divided into two halves; the first is on Salvation, and the second is on our maturing as believers and how we are meant to help others in their walks, too. I’m halfway thru my second book now, and it’s going to be about growing in our faith. It comes from my many years of being a stuck-in-the-mud Christian, and never going anywhere in my walk. The planned title for this one is a bit longer; “The Christian Life Is A Walk…So Why Is Mine Going Nowhere?” I’m very excited about this second book, and I think you’ll find something worthwhile in my first one. It’s funny, but I get something out of it when I read it myself…isn’t that almost silly? Thanks for being interested, and I look forward to getting to know you better in the future…Michae
