What A Load of Hooey
It’s been so nice to have these last few days off. It started out with me waking up last Thursday to find that the maintenance guy was in the kitchen fixing the garbage disposal. He wasn’t supposed to come until Sunday, but evidentally those instructions weren’t relayed to him. *sigh* So yes, the dog was here (we still haven’t paid a deposit to have her), but he didn’t seem to think anything of her, and nobody from the office has said anything about her. That’s good because I really can’t afford to pay the deposit.
Friday I got stuff together for our trip up to Redding. It was uneventful for the most part. We got there around 10:30 on Friday night. Saturday morning, Mary and I took ChaCha to get her rabies shot. She didn’t even flinch or wiggle once when the vet stuck her. The shot was free, so yay for that. And then Mary gave her the first of another set of shots. It was the shot for distemper, parvo, and influenza. She has to have another one in a month. That shot was only $6 since Mary gave it to her. We just had to buy the vaccine which comes with the syringe. Really saves us money that way.
Saturday afternoon, I read some of my book (which I really want to get finished today), then took a nap (there’s something about their house that makes me want to sleep), and then that evening went to Hannah’s football game. This is going to be a politically incorrect statement, but I have never seen so many lesbian women (most of whom really wanted to be and could have passed as men) congregated in one place. It was interesting to say the least, and the game seriously in my opinion was just a joke.
The team that Hannah plays on royally sucks. Hannah is good, don’t get me wrong, and she probably would succeed well on another team, but the team that she is on is pathetic. The coaches don’t know shit. I could have coached them better. Even the refs were a sad site to see. It was so bad that at one point the ref called a penalty by saying, "There was a penalty before the play. SOMEBODY on the defence encroached on the line." No number so and so… just somebody. WTF! I was cracking up most of the time. Either laughing at the joke of a game or the women in serious gender denial. Talk about an eye opener.
Yesterday, we went and spent the afternoon at Nana’s house. I love spending time with her. I wish I would have gone over there on Saturday instead. Next time we go up there, I plan on spending more time with her. She is so fun to be around. We really get along well. I think I get along with her better than anybody else in their family. LOL I accidentally spilled the beans to her about Shawn and Seth coming back out here (I’ll get to that in a second). I was not informed that the subject was off limits and that she was not aware that they were coming back. Oops. She promised me that she wouldn’t tell anyone that I said anything. Needless to say, that cat’s out of the bag now. LOL
So yeah… Shawn and Seth are coming BACK out here again. It started out last summer with them coming out here thinking they wanted to get a start out here. The two oldest kids were already out here visiting Mary, and they followed toward the end of the summer with the younger two. They stayed with Mary the whole time, didn’t have to pay rent. Only bought enough groceries usually for their family. Didn’t help with PG&E. Got Nana to buy Seth a car which he was going to pay her back for. Ended up causing nothing but drama. Shawn got a job, but Seth ended up not doing shit except getting high all the time. And when push came to shove, after 6 months they determined they couldn’t cut it out here and packed up once they got their tax return and went back to Nebraska.
The day that they left, they didn’t say goodbye to anyone. By that point, they weren’t even talking to Mary even though they had been living in her house for FREE the whole time they were there. Mary was actually in the hospital the day that they left and they didin’t even have the decency to thank her and tell her goodbye. Seth GAVE AWAY the car that Nana had given him to some random, and still has yet to pay her back. And the same went with her. They didn’t even say goodbye.
They came out here with drama in tow, csused even more drama while they were here, left on high note of drama and went back to Nebraska. Good ridance is all I had to say. BUT now because of EVEN MORE drama that THEY caused in Nebraska, they are on their way back out here. Shawn somehow got her brother to foot them the money for them to come back out here even though they more than likely won’t pay him back. They had applied for housing assistance when they were out here the first time, and evidentally didn’t bother to mention to the state of California that they had moved back to Nebraska. So now they are at the top of the list for housing, and on their way back out here.
Now that I type it all out, I’m livid that they have been able to get away with the bullshit that they have put so many people through. I don’t want to have anything to do with them. They are going to be at Mary’s for a very limited time (or so she says) while they find a place of their own. Oh and get this. Not only are they coming out here with four kids and a dog, but they also were in the process of getting another puppy. Instead of waiting for it to be time to take the puppy home, or forgoing the new puppy altogether, they are taking it from it’s mother at only 3 weeks old. WTF!!! These people are so fucking clueless. Seriously… who the fuck do they really think they are? Jacob always is quick to bitch and complain about his cousin, but the way I see it, he needs to be looking twice at his own brother first.
I think that’s enough for now. I’m sure I could add more to this entry, but I’ll save that for later.
Happy Monday! (Only 4 days of work this week)
Laters,
JamieLynn =)
