What A Great Day

Seems that I’m really on the rollercoaster of life right now.  So while our money situation totally sucks and will continue to suck for many days, I did come to work this morning to a nice birthday surprise.

The girls got me a card and this book:

Since my birthday isn’t until Saturday, I seriously wasn’t even thinking about it until I got in today.  I am taking tomorrow off since they give you a paid holiday for your birthday here, so today is my last day until next Tuesday.  Since I’m not going to be here tomorrow, they are helping me celebrate early.  =)  That’s so awesome!!!  I wasn’t expecting anything AT ALL!!!!  Makes me realize that I do have friends here at work.

Funny thing is that I just ordered that book from amazon.com the other day.  I’m going to go ahead and just send it back when I get it.  Lord knows we can use the money.  LOL

Since I have the next 4 days off, I will have plenty of time to read to my heart’s content.  I finished my most recent book last night and now have started reading this one:

Once I’ve finished that one, I’ll definitely be reading The Host.  =)  I’ll be a happy camper (hopefully) for the next few days.

And not only did the girls get me a card and the new book, but Rosie was also nice enough to buy me lunch, and Lani and Keri got me an ice cream cake from Coldstone.  Mmmm… so good!

I’m off to read now…
