Home Sweet Home

We made it to Nebraska on Tuesday.  So far the whole trip has gone rather smoothly.  Ami picked us up from the airport on Tuesday afternoon and we hung out for the rest of the day and night.  Tuesday afternoon we decided to go eat at Sonic which was great!  I wish we had Sonic in CA.  And Runza too!!!  When we were getting ready to go back to Ami’s house, a deer ran out into the middle of this extremely busy intersection and ran into the ass end of a car.  The deer actually HIT the car, not the other way around.  Unfortunately for Bambi it didn’t make it.  Poor thing.

Wednesday we spent the day at Ami’s and then that night came up to my mom’s.  That’s where I’m at right now.  I have bunches of pictures already from today.  I don’t much feel like posting them all right now, but I will post them either tomorrow or maybe when I get back to CA.  I’ll be able to get them all uploaded before we have to leave, so I’ll have access to them right away when I’m back at work on Tuesday.

Jacob is in Norfolk at his brother’s tonight.  We went over to Wayne to eat lunch with some of my family today, and Shawn met us there so that Jacob could ride back with her.  I didn’t feel like going over there, so I just stayed with Mom.  We went with Deb to look at some clothes, which was interesting.  I got a good picture from our outting.

When we got back here to the house, I sat and took a few pictures of myself out of boredom.  In all honesty… they turned out pretty darned good.  I did the whole different face for different emotions thing.  Yeah… I was bored.  LOL  I got them uploaded on photobucket and started playing around with them.  Here is my fave one after editing.  Well… the only one that I’ve really edited actually.  LOL

I’ll have to post more pictures later that show the red streaks in my hair. =)  Actually I am going to have to touch my streaks up tomorrow probably.  I want them to be nice and bright on Saturday.  I’ve gotten a lot of compliments on my hair since I’ve been here.  I’m glad that everyone seems to like it.

Oh yeah… I found out yesterday that my 10 year class reunion is going to be on June 14th.  I called work today and asked Keri if I was going to be able to get just a few days off around that time so that I can come back for it.  She didn’t have a problem with it, so it looks like I will be coming home again in June.  =)  I think it will probably be just me that time though.  We can’t really afford for Jacob to go too, as much as he is going to hate that.  Oh well… he’ll have to get over it.

We had a bit of a panic attack on Monday.  I forgot to mention that when I ended up checking our bank account, we had pretty much already blown through Jacob’s check.  We were going to end up coming out here with pretty much no money to our names.  Jacob ended up getting a paycheck advance, just so we would have a little bit of something for our trip, but we really didn’t think that the little bit that he got was going to last us.  When I got home from work, he was going to go out and get one more loan, but before he left I checked the mail.  We lucked out because there was his federal tax refund!  Woo Hoo!!!  We are sitting good now.  =)

I think Andrea is going to flake on me.  Again.  She does it every time.  She gets all excited about us coming to Nebraska.  Makes all these plans for us to meet up, so that we can actually see each other.  And then she completely flakes out.  I’ve called her probably about 5 or 6 times since we’ve gotten here, and not once has she answered her phone, and not once has she messaged me on myspace to let me know what is going on.  I could care less if you aren’t able to make it up to see us.  If you can’t make it, you can’t make it.  But don’t make plans with me and then ignore/avoid me instead of telling me what is going on.  It’s so childish.  I’m over it… that’s for damn sure.  She’s been that way for the entire 7 years that we’ve been friends.  I guess some things will never change.

I guess Becca, Mike, and the kids are coming to the dance on Saturday.  And Seth and Shawn are coming too.  We got a room reserved at the Super 8, and it’s basically right across the street from the armory.  I know that Saturday is going to be a blast.  I have to be at the church at around 11:00 that morning to help Ami get ready with her make-up and all.  Then I have to be back at the church at 2:15 to take pictures since I’m the program/bubble girl.  LOL

It’s going to be a big wedding too.  She told me that over 200 people have RSVPed.  Good Lord!  It’s definitely going to be fun though.  And trust… I will have piles of pictures.  =)
