Addition to the Family

What an eventful weekend.  It started out with finding out on Friday afternoon that Desi has been called in to do a live audition for Nashville Star.  The audition is going to be in L.A. on the weekend of March 8th.  I am so excited for her and was seriously going to be going with her down for the audition.  I was the one who taped parts of her audition video.  I found out today though that she has arranged to ride down with her uncle and his wife, so I won’t be going now.  *sigh*  Oh well…  Someday I’ll get to go down there.  I’m still uber excited for her.

Saturday morning, we got up and got ready to go down to Rosie’s house to get my hair done.  It was definitely about time, let me tell you.  The intention was to be down there by 11:30 or so.  *HUGE SIGH*  We didn’t end up getting there until 1:00.  DAMN!  It was about 6:00 by the time we were finished with the whole process.  LOL  I’m pleased to say though that I am now back to the black hair with red streaks with an a-line haircut.  My hair had grown out so long since I got it cut last time.  I ♥ the new style now though.  =)  Next time that she does it (which will probably be just before the wedding) we are going to do a more dramatic a-line.  She won’t be cutting the front hardly at all and the back with be cut way short again.

After the hair cutting and styling was completed, we got ready to head back home.  Before we left though, we ended up taking Rosie and Dan’s old television.  They were just going to toss it in a dumpster, but as far as we could tell there wasn’t really anything wrong with it.  It’s a nice big t.v. like the one that we have in our living room.  Since ours wasn’t working at all anymore, we figured that we would take that one for the time being (at least until it stops working).  So far so good.  We lucked out, let me tell you.  They could have probably easily gotten away with selling it for about $50 or more.  Lucky us!  So now we have a television in the living room again!  YAY!!!

Oh yeah… I forgot to mention what an ordeal it was getting the thing back to our place.  LOL  This television is pretty damn big.  I thought that we would be able to fit it in our back seat.

I was wrong.

When we finally left from Rosie’s, it was pouring down rain.  We finally got the television out to the car, only to find that it wasn’t going to fit in the back seat.  The last resort was to put it in the trunk as far in as we could then tie the trunk lid down.  LOL  It was quite the ordeal, but needless to say we made it home with the t..v. intact.  We weren’t going to plug it in for a day or two to make sure that it dried out if any water had gotten inside.  Of course Jacob just couldn’t wait though and ended up plugging it in that night.  LOL  I’m happy to report that everything works great so far.  =)

By the time we got home, I was soaked to the bone from helping Jacob load the television in the car.  I jumped into a nice warm shower and got ready to go to Debie and Joe’s.  Jacob’s mom had come down with the new puppies and we went to pick up our new family member.  Boy oh boy is she cute!!!  We have named her ChaCha and she is a character.  I’ll definitely have to post pictures as soon as I can.  =)

Luckily, Keri is letting me bring her to work with me as needed.  We don’t want her to be at the apartment by herself right now.  Currently she is laying in her puppy bed, taking a nap.  She’s already paper trained and has had very few accidents, and no accidents at all here at my office.  Everyone loves her.  LOL

So that’s the report for now.  I’ll update tomorrow with the new books that I’m reading.

Laters,
JamieLynn =)
