Coming Up Short
Well I guess if it can go wrong, it WILL go wrong. We are now at the 23 days until the wedding mark. Just when everything else is going to be alright, something else happens.
I haven’t finished the bouquets yet, but mine is for the most part completed. I’m working on the final two bridesmaids bouquets, and those will get done maybe by the end of this weekend.
The girls had their first fitting for their dresses last Saturday, and all seemed to go well there.
Jacob’s aunt called us on Sunday to tell us that Clint’s girlfriend’s dad has passed away. I felt so bad for Desi. She is such a sweetheart!!! I haven’t called her yet, but I wanted to give her time and space to take care of what she is dealing with now. I will probably give her a call today to let her know we are here if she needs anything. Not that I have much to be able to help with, but I can be there for her for emotional support.
Who knows if they will even be able to make it to the wedding now. It’s hard to say. Jacob’s mom said that she would talk to Clint if she got a chance. We never got his tux measurements from him, so as of right now we only have 3 groomsmen in the wedding. LOL Oh well. I’m tired of stressing about who is or isn’t in the wedding. If that’s the way that it is then so be it. One of the girls will either walk alone, or one of the guys will walk with 2 girls. My wedding is pretty different as it is, might as well throw that in there too. LOL
Jacob lost his job yesterday. Yes… AGAIN. But I can honestly say that he did his best while he was there, and it just comes down to the fact that the company is on it’s last leg as it is. He was bringing them in new business, but they fired the technician that was supposed to be going out on the appointments that Jacob was making. Instead of hiring a new technician they let Jacob go.
Now because of this… we are going to be short on having everything paid for with the wedding. We are going to be approximately $664 short. Nice huh? I don’t know what we are going to do. I’ve tried to figure out if anything can be cut out, but everything that is left to be paid for are all necessary. My mom says that we should have the videographer taken out. I am totally against that though. Not to mention that taking the videographer out wouldn’t even cover what we are short. *HUGE sigh*
Maybe I’ll win the lottery?!?!
Ok, i know what you are going through, i planned mine over Christmas. No matter how stress you get just remember this is one of the best times of your life. My wedding was non-traditional too. Dad married us, mom walked me down the aisle, I made bouquets, boot-n-ears (sp) and didn’t have any budget at all. I was poor and had no money to spend. But is was GREAT!!
