So I Called Him, And…

…he told me that he was testing me, and that I passed the test.  LOL  He was all, “Life is full of tests, Jamie.  I wanted to see how long it would be before you started bugging me to find out if you got the job or not.”  LOL  So YES I got the job.  I start on Monday!!!!  I’m so excited!!!!

I went into one of the offices this morning to fill out some paper work and pick up my new-hire packet.  They gave me a buttload of stuff to read over, but it’s all worth it.  They have to do a background check on me, but I’m not too worried about it.  I think they only check the state of California, and I asked the girl that I worked for at the staffing place if she had gotten anything back on my background check.  She said she hadn’t yet, and that if anything would have come up that they would have let her know by now.  Then I told her about the form I filled out for the check today, and she said that it sounded like they were only checking Cali.

It’s not that I have a criminal record persay, but since my fucking idiot ex-bf got check-writing happy on my account, then I have hot checks in the state of Texas that I need to take care.  But now that I have this job, I will be more than happy to pay that debt off. 

The only thing that sucks right now is the fact that I’m not going to get paid until November 5th.  That’s just how the pay period for this company is.  The pay days are the 7th and 22nd unless one of those days falls on a weekend, and the actual pay periods are from the 1st to the 15th and from the 16th to the end of the month.  Soooo…  Hopefully Jacob will get paid in the mean time.

He started a new job yesterday too.  I’m so happy for him because now he isn’t going to have to worry about work for a long time.  He is actually working with his dad doing labor work on some huge ass mansion that is being built up by San Fransisco.  I guess it’s going to be a good while before the house is even finished, so that will be steady work for him for awhile.

Now all we really have to worry about is finding a place to live, but in actuality I’m not going to try and stress on that too much either.  I’m pretty sure that his dad is going to try and help us find a place when the time comes.  I just wish that I got paid once before the end of the month.  But it’s all good.  Everything has seemed to work itself out lately.

So tomorrow we are going to the beach again.  =)  YAY!!!  I just hope that the waves aren’t too big for me and that it isn’t too could.  Jake said something about it is supposed to start cooling down this weekend.  I guess we will have to wait and see.  I could probably go ahead and check the weather forecast too since I’m on the computer today.

Well…  that’s about all the exciting news I have for now.  Things are looking good here…  I hope they are looking good for everyone else as well.
