What is wrong with pop companies?

Once upon a time i used to enjoy the odd C-plus orange.  It was almost as good as Crush, and could be very refreshing on a hot day.  I also used to enjoy a mug rootbeer sometimes.  Again, it was never as good as the champ A&W, but it was still respectable.  Unfortunatly the pop companies of today have destroyed these products by attempting to make pop seem healthier.  For Shame.

C-plus now has reduced sugar.  The effect?  reduced taste equalling crap.  Mug has removed a personal favorite of mine called caffine.  Also resulting in crap.  Why in the hell would companies try to make their products healthier?  It makes sense when people try to reduce their calories or fat in a sandwich, or something of that nature.  But pop?  When did pop become recognized for its contributing health factors to society?  We enjoy pop because its not healthy, its pop.  Theres nothing nutritious in it.  We expect it to rot our teeth, give us those extra calories, or keep us awake for a late night video game binge.  The idea of attempting to make it seem healthier is completely ridiculous.

My only reasoning for a company doing this is because of the unfortunate idiots that take up much of society today.  Ones who when selecting a pop decide that they will do their part in keeping in shape by purchasing the pop with less sugar.  Are people that nieve?  Apparently so.  If we are that concerned with our weight, our calorie intake, or how much caffine we consume, should we even be in the pop section of the store?

Thankfully products such as faithful Coke have kept their pop as the teeth rotting beverage we all enjoy.  It doesnt claim to be healthy, nor does it try little gimmicks to attract the nieve.  Hats off to you Coke.  As for you C-plus and Mug, youve lost my business.  I wish you well in your endeavors to attract Mormons (nothing against mormons, they just dont take caffine, which means that mug would be right up their alley) and the nieve.

I was going to rant about the fact that it’s almost impossible to find caffienated tea anymore… but this is much more important. I say good for you for speaking out for the obese majority. Even if obese people aren’t the “majority”… get 12 skinny health nuts to stand next to 4 of them and try saying that.

If you pistol whipped me… that would be so cool. Then I could be the annoying guy at the movies that keeps saying stuff like “Oh c’mon! It takes at least three whips to knock a guy out. He should only be bleeding a little. This show is so fake.”
