Radios, pop and JA

I may keep to one of my resolutions this year after all. I got my book to study for my Amateur radio operatiors license. I asked our SIC about her liscense plate and she said her husband is a HAM so I asked her if he had the book or could pick it up at the convention this weekend. He got me the pool questions and answers which might be just what I need to study. I think I study better that way anyway. Once I have JA tucked away this season I’ll have to sit down and really barrel into it. I want to be licensed before the end of the year. I think the biggest obstacle is going to be finding a testing sight where I won’t get ratted out. I have to do this on my own just like I did when I gave up pop.

Yes I actually completely gave up Pop for good. I haven’t had a pepsi since Mother’s day and I’ve only had one coke since then. I’ve had a few alternative beverages but those don’t count because I was fighting allergy trouble. (I’m referring to Gingerale and Cranberry Sierra Mist and I think I’ve had a total of four of those.).

I’m getting ready for JA tomorrow or should be… It’s Hannah’s class and I’m super excited about it. I’ve had at least a couple of these kids for five years of JA. This should be fun with Hannah’s class.

I’ll be teaching Maddie’s class later this season. Her class is going to the Festival of Gingerbread a week from Thursday and making Gingerbread houses that Friday. I am working on getting gingerbread hats made for them for their field trip this time I’m only doing Maddie’s class.
