I survived… unlike my cherry tree…

I"m sitting at my brother’s house enjoying his power since it is projected that we won’t have power restored until Wednesday night. I live in Fort Wayne, Indiana and we had that massive storm come through with straight line winds and two funnel clouds. We had some huge trees uprooted not a mile from me and about half of the city is without power. INcluding me.

Our house is still standing but we lost most of the shingles off of the back of it and sadly lightning hit our cherry tree and split it right down the middle. I wasn’t exactly smart and watched most of the storm from my back door. Most of my laundry blew off of the line before my eyes (the storm came up that quickly). I’m taking bets as to whether the Tin Man or the Scarecrow is wearing my work uniforms.

I don’t have a lot to write right now; I’m just glad there wasn’t a lot of serious damage and that I have a place to jump to to absorb air conditioning for the moment.

I’m glad you’re okay. My family in Virginia has been suffering through lots of damage and loss of power.

So glad you weren’t hurt!!!

wow…glad you didn’t suffer much in the way of damage, though. Crazy how these storms just pop up out of nowhere anymore.
