Vineland Adaptable Behavioral Scale
So the Vineland-II Adaptive Behavioral Scale is what was used to evaluate my youngest daughter, Caroline, today. It was kind of glaring the areas that she needs a lot of help or is lagging. However, I haven’t a clue what the they found from the evaluation. The psychologist will do an in-class observation of her to see how she works with her classmates and then from there she’ll let me know if Caroline qualifies for their inclusive developmental preschool. I can’t say one way or the other what she may have gathered from today and how it compares to what they need in order for her to qualify. She either has to have a -2 standard deviation in one area or a -1.5 standard deviation in two areas. I’ve done the looking I can online to see the way they’re scored but it’s all Greek to me and I’m rather versed in psychological and psychiatric manuals, however, there’s just not a lot available online to read through.
I think Chuck is panicked. He’s got a rather heavy school load. He had to leave work early today. Has work obligations that have to get done. He flies out for his training for two weeks on Sunday and has a 5 page paper due Sunday night. Hopefully getting 2 weeks away from the kiddo chaos will help him. I know if not, he’s going to be an bundle of stress.
Welp, I’m off for the night because I’m le tired!
