And for a moment it gives me the blues.

I re-live every single special memory

Of all the good times, of you and me.

I remember when we first met

Our connection that I can never forget.

It makes me sad you are no longer in my life

I haven’t seen you in so long it cuts like a knife.

Yet I smile because I know you are doing well

These precious memories we share I wouldn’t sell.

You are a part of me no matter how far

In distance or in contact we are.

Though bittersweet and a reminder of our time that is gone

I’m glad there is a way to know how you are getting along.
