it’s Monday

I am already exhausted…I got to school and realized I’d forgotten to bring back ALL of their journals AND the reading assessments so I couldn’t start grouped reading today because I didn’t have my lists…grrrr…But at least the kids were all in good health. Not like last week when I send a kid to the nurse because he was shivering in my unusually warm classroom. He ended up with a temp of 103, but it went down after some Tylenol…his mom couldn’t come get him and his second on his emergency card didn’t answer the phone. He ended up in the clinic all day and the nurse took him home since she lived near by. Poor kid. Came back to school the next day perfectly fine. Have no idea what’s going on there, but it’s not normal. Anyhow, I gave my kids their first research assignment today…let’s just say that they aren’t thrilled, but they’ll get over it. I rearranged my classroom again today. I moved my desk so that they could get to the coat rack and such. I don’t like it. I have too much furniture in my room…I need more book shelves and less paper carts. But both my paper carts are full…you see the predicament…no matter which direction I go I’m in a tough spot. Look at me…complaining about my classroom…who’d ever thougt I’d get this far? I have a classroom to complain about! YAY!
