Just got back from the interview…
Things look promising. She asked me about my degree and what I would do if they did decide to hire me. I told her the truth. That if a school comes to me and offers me more money than I’m making in the store, and it’s in a district that I like, then I would leave the company. I also said that that is the risk you take with anybody in the work force. If a better job comes along, then hell yeah, take it. She told me tons of stuff about the company, about the benifits, about everything which leads me to believe that she is interested. She also told me that hopefully I would be hearing from Melissa in a few days if my background check goes through. She even said “Because I’m interested in you”. That was the dead ringer that makes me think I got the job. If I do get hired I have to do all of my training in Maryland mall. It’s not too bad. It only takes about 45 minutes to get there as long as there isn’t traffic. It took 2 hours to get home though because it was rush hour. Let me tell you if I end up doing the 9-5 shift my ass is hanging out at the mall for dinner until 7 or 8. There is no way I am dealing with that traffic on a daily basis.
Whoo-hoo! Hope you get it. Sometimes I kind of miss working retail and the face to face interacting with people. And then sometimes I remember that most people are morons and I don’t want to interact with them face to face. 😉
