Do you have a piece of clothing that you could never get rid of?

Well, I do find it hard to throw away special things, so I have quite a few clothes saved from over the years. I still have my first grown up party dress from 1961, a lovely strap top yellow floral one with a big full skirt. I also have a twist dress from a year or two later. It looks like a pleated skirt but the pieces are not actually joined to the skirt and fly up when you swirl around. It’s probably worth something now.

Last year I was invited to a friend’s 60th and she had a 60s theme. I would love to have worn the twist dress but I’m a few sizes bigger now! I still had a wrap around skirt, though, from the late 60s, and luckily embroideried gypsy tops tops were in fashion last year. I do still have a couple of genuine 60s cheescloths but they don’t fit me now either.
