Spring has arrived!

Goodness! it’s 5 weeks since I wrote an entry. I hadn’t realised.

My health got worse for a few weeks. I was getting migraines every day for a while and, although I try to keep a positive outlook, it did get me down. It seems to be picking up a bit now, and today I’ve been doing some gardening. Last week I finally potted up some window boxes. We didn’t have any through the winter this year because, after I had bought all of the plants in November, the snow came and it stayed cold for weeks. Then it was Christmas and then the snow came back!

Only 2 of my pretty frilled pansies survived the snow and all of the others died so I bought a few violets and Hubby was given a load of primulas by someone whose garden he does. They were just going to throw them away. They look lovely in the window boxes!

Today I spent about a half hour filling in a large hole that the dog dug in the flower bed a few weeks back. No sign of the foxgloves that used to be there – damn dog! I turned around and she had dug another one in the path. Yesterday she broke my patio table by sitting on it. It isn’t made for 35 lb Jack Spaniels to sit on!

I think spring has finally arrived. It was quite warm out today although Hubby said it was cold. He’s always cold on warm days, then, when it’s snowing he’ll say he’s too hot! He’s out there in his thick jumper and woolly hat trying to mend the table the dog broke.

That’s one of the down sides of dogs isn’t it? I miss my dog, but not his pooh and his digging.

Aaahh you’re dog sounds like fun, but hard work. Isn’t it lovely to see all the signs of spring and some warm weather
