Sydney visit.
We got back Thursday afternoon from seeing Melissa. When we flew out of Albury the weather was lovely. But Sydney weather was terrible. It was torrential rain when we landed and didn’t stop the whole day. But we weren’t far from public transport so made the most of it.
Met Melissa at our hotel in Darling Harbour then walked along the waterfront sheltering under our umbrellas, hoping the rain would stop, but we all got drenched. Didn’t matter though as it wasn’t cold and it was nice to catch up with what Melissa was doing.
She was amazed at our weight loss and said we were both looking good. Because of the weather we just had something to eat then all headed back to the hotel, where we spent the night just talking, and making plans for another trip to maybe Africa, as the last one was interrupted due to Evan’s girlfriend’s death. I can’t believe it’s been nearly 11 months. Another trip with us all together would be wonderful.
The next day was a little better, so we went sightseeing then ended back at Melissa’s where she cooked us a lovely stir fry meal.
Thursday we checked out of the hotel, left our luggage at Central station, met Melissa at her work, had lunch with her, then caught the train to Sydney airport.
Today I’m going back to Melbourne to visit husband’s sister, who needs someone to talk to as she’s having problems in her life. So I’ll be staying with her tonight. Then Saturday to see my aunt who’s not too well. She’s 85 tomorrow and I’ll call in to wish her happy birthday.
Then on to my other SIL where I’ll be staying Sat night.
Sunday we’re all off to the baby shower at Betty’s place. I’m looking forward to that as all my girlfriends from Melbourne will be there.
Then back home late Sunday probably, ready to return to work Monday.
I will have had a busy but lovely 8 days.
Bye….
I’m exhausted just reading your itinerary! You’ll need a holiday to rest up from your holiday!

Insurance companies pretty much dictate health care in the States. I’ve always used our local public hospital. The other hospital in town is fine, but I’m used to the one I’ve always used. The hospital & insurance company negotiate rates between them. The hospital would not agree to the rates my insurance company insisted upon.

RYN: It was a very sad funeral, but I think it gave the family some comfort.
